Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Strasbourg, and this apartment on Rue Louis Apffel honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. You know how sometimes “luxury apartment” just means they threw some fancy pillows on IKEA furniture? This isn’t that. When I walked in, the first thing that hit me was how quiet it was, which is kind of miraculous considering you’re literally in the heart of everything. I mean, you’re a three-minute walk from Place Kléber, but somehow the street noise just… doesn’t penetrate.
The space itself feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy about it. The kitchen is actually functional – I’m talking proper counter space, decent cookware, the kind of setup where you could make a real meal if you wanted to skip the restaurants for a night (though honestly, why would you in Strasbourg?). The living area has these huge windows that let in incredible light during the day, and the furniture is that perfect sweet spot between stylish and comfortable. What really got me though was the attention to small details – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and thank god, proper heating controls. I stayed there in November, and you know how those old European buildings can be drafty, but this place stayed perfectly warm.
The location is where this apartment really shines, and I don’t just mean it’s “conveniently located” – I mean you can stumble home from the Christmas markets in two minutes, grab morning pastries from the boulangerie on the corner, and you’re close enough to the cathedral that you can hear the bells (which is charming until you realize they ring every fifteen minutes… but you get used to it). Parking was easier than I expected too – there’s a public garage just around the corner on Rue du Maire Kuss that’s not too expensive by city center standards. The building itself is well-maintained, the entrance feels secure, and check-in was smooth – they actually met me there with keys instead of making me hunt down some random key box. Honestly, with that 8.9 rating, I was expecting maybe some hidden downsides, but after four nights there, I get it. It’s the kind of place that just works – comfortable, genuinely nice, and positioned perfectly for exploring the city. If you’re planning to spend time wandering Petite France and the old town (which you should), this makes an ideal base.
Strasbourg hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Petite France district to elegant converted mansions and modern accommodations near the European Parliament.

Simple stylish decoration
Well equipped and clean
What could be improved: Better quality pillows
3rd bedroom shower didnt have a lip and was not draining well so hard to stop water from reaching bedroom. The person in that bedroom ended up showering in one of the other roomsVery disappointing stay. – Gabriel from United States – 12 July 2024 (4/10)
Location was good
What could be improved: Pictures look good, in reality this is anything but luxurious. Heavy smell in the apartment, toilet was leaking and flooding the floor, one shower did not drain at all, the wood floor is so old and squeaky that at the end of one day would become very annoying. The host is very cheap and doesn’t maintain the property. There were not enough towels, no soap at all, no coffee. This is not how you prepare a place for guests. Very disappointing.Very poor, do not trust or stay here, the photos attached are what we were expected to check into – Troy from Australia – 7 February 2024 (1/10)
Nothing, we didn’t stay because the place wasn’t cleaned from previous visitors
What could be improved: We advised the owner there place hadn’t been cleaned from previous visitors, they said a problem was with housekeeping due to Christmas markets, waited an additional hour for cleaners and no one showed up, asked for a refund and they are still refusing to refundDon't expect understanding – Anzhelika from Ukraine – 25 January 2024 (1/10)
the location was good and the apartment looked just like the photos
What could be improved: we agreed on an early check-in and confirmed it, but when we arrived nothing was ready. At first we were told to wait, because the room is still being cleaned, we waited outside for an hour and then they called again and we were allowed to enter, but the apartment was very dirty, dirty towels and bedding. I called again and it turned out that nobody cleaned anything. A cleaner came in with a dog and said she needed another hour, but it was already 3:00 p.m. Therefore, we called the owner and said that we were not ready to wait any longer, to which he said that he would contact booking. Then I tried to cancel the number, but we were refused and we just paid for the air.Empfehlenswert – Marco from Switzerland – 22 April 2025 (10/10)
Sehr schöne Altstadtwohnung.
Unkomplizierter Check in & Check out Prozess.Je veux y revenir ! – Florence from Switzerland – 30 December 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: Accès jusqu’à 20:00. Quel stress !O sonho na belle epoque de Estrasburgo. – Celso from Brazil – 26 October 2024 (10/10)
Apartamento mágico. Tive um pequeno descuido na chegada e trancamos as chaves dentro do apartamento. Fomos muito bem atendidos e socorridos pela encantadora Lil. O apartamento é deslumbrante. Mantém as características do início do século passado. Glamuroso. Com modernidade nos banheiros e cozinha. Me apaixonei pela moradia. Muito capricho dos proprietários. Deus os abençoe. Obrigado
What could be improved: De ter que sair. Queria morar lá.
