The flat itself has this lived-in quality that I really appreciated. The two bedrooms are actually sized like real bedrooms (not those cramped European hotel rooms where you bang your shin on the bed frame), and honestly, the kitchen setup surprised me. You’ve got proper counter space and a dishwasher that actually works – I know because I tested it after cooking dinner with ingredients from the little Monoprix around the corner. The living area flows nicely onto that balcony I mentioned, and in the evenings you get this lovely light filtering through. There’s street noise, sure, but it’s more like gentle city hum than anything jarring. I slept fine with the windows cracked open, even though I’m usually pretty sensitive to sound.

What really sold me on the location was discovering how walkable everything turned out to be. You’re close enough to Petite France that you can stroll over for dinner without thinking twice, but far enough from the main tourist crush that you won’t be dodging selfie sticks every morning. The tram stop at Landsberg is practically at your doorstep – though honestly, I barely used it because walking felt so natural. There’s this great bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early, and the woman behind the counter started recognizing me by day three. That’s the kind of neighborhood detail you just can’t get from a hotel, you know? Parking was easier than I expected too, though I’d still recommend the garage option if you’re driving – street spots can get competitive, especially during the Christmas market season.

  It was super clean and had all the amenities. Very near to two tram stations and was easy to find car parking.
  
  What could be improved: That it didn’t have specific instructions for recycling. I found out that it was possible since they had two different types of trashcans.

  Perfekt gelegen: Interessantes Stadtviertel; Geschäfte gleich um die Ecke. Die zentralen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Parks zu Fuß zu erreichen, aber auch eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle praktisch direkt vor der Tür. Haus und Wohnung offensichtlich kürzlich renoviert, trotzdem etwas hellhörig, aber ruhige Nachbarn. Wohnung zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sehr sauber. Kontakt mit Gastgeber flüssig und freundlich, auch bei Besonderheiten.
  
  What could be improved: In dem Schlafzimmer auf der Straßenseite war es doch etwas laut, vor allem wegen der Straßenbahn. Etwas mehr Kochgeschirr wäre praktisch gewesen.
