Hotel Description
You know what? I’ve walked past this place on Rue de Boersch dozens of times before actually staying there, and honestly, I was missing out. Logis le 18 rose sits in this perfect sweet spot in Strasbourg where you’re still properly in the city but tucked away from the tourist chaos around the cathedral. The street itself is one of those narrow Alsatian ones where you can actually hear your footsteps echo – which sounds romantic until you realize it means you’ll hear other guests coming back from their night out, but it’s really not that bad.
The thing that got me about this place is how they’ve managed to feel both local and polished at the same time. I mean, it’s got that 4-star attention to detail you’d expect – proper thick towels, decent water pressure, beds that don’t creak when you roll over – but without that sterile hotel chain vibe that makes you forget which city you’re in. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, like really knows it. When I asked about getting to Petite France without walking through the main shopping streets, the guy at reception drew me this little map showing the back way along the canal that I never would’ve found otherwise. That’s the kind of local insight you just don’t get at the bigger places.
Location-wise, you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to the cathedral if you’re moving at a decent pace, but here’s the thing – you’re also right near some of the better winstubs that aren’t completely overrun with tour groups. There’s this little Alsatian place just around the corner that does an incredible choucroute, and I’m pretty sure half the guests end up there because the hotel clearly sends people that direction. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of town (honestly, just use the Austerlitz parking garage about 400 meters away – trust me on this), but once you’re settled, you barely need to think about your car. The tram stops are close enough that getting to the European Parliament or even out to the suburbs is pretty straightforward, though you’ll probably spend most of your time wandering the old town anyway. With an 8.4 rating, this isn’t some hidden gem that’s falling apart – it’s just a solid, well-run place that happens to sit in one of the more livable parts of Strasbourg. The kind of spot where you’d actually want to spend a few extra days just to settle in properly.

Reviews
Nice quiet place, but a bit expensive – Daniele from Italy – 5 June 2023 (7/10)
The place is welcoming and in a quiet neighborhood.
What could be improved: Price does not include bedroom linen and bathroom towels, which we need to pay separately. Also cleaning is not included, and you need to choose between paying 60€ or cleaning the apartment yourself. You have to pay a deposit of 200€ at the entrance, that are given back after inspection at the end of the journey.Exceptional – Peter from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (10/10)
Clean , comfortable , quite location, nice easy walk into the city. Everything that you could need in the apartment. Perfect for business trip or tourist, owners were lovely.
trully do NOT recommend – Milos from Serbia – 30 May 2023 (3/10)
Only part of the city.
What could be improved: First of all, trully do NOT recommend.
I really do NOT understand that someone ask for more then 100 EUROs per day and there are no towels and also no linen. PLEASE make price 10 EUROs more and offer complette apartment. We had to bring everything for only 3 days, and then to clean the whole apartment (cleaning for 3 days costs 60 EUROs). By the way we left it CLEANER then we got it, and we had to wash all dishes we used cause it was dirty when we came in. So, for 3 days we had to bring towels, linen and to clean, all to pay for 3 days EXTRA ca. 100 EUROs. Totally unprofessional.
The depost we left for 3 days (200 EUROs) we gave immidiately after coming, and we got it back 2 days after leaving. I do not understand someone keep my money 2 days more.
The living room looks nice on photos, but they put some linen on sofa in order that we do not make it dirty.. once again: totally unprofessional.
I do not know anywhere in Europe I needed to pay extra for 3 days for BASIC things: towels, linen and to clean after vacation.Ev sahipleri cok iyi insanlar. Ev cok temiz. Lokasyon ihtiyaçlara cevap verecek bir yerde. – Ömer from Turkey – 6 April 2025 (7/10)
Temiz, sakin bir lokasyonda. Evde tum ihtiyaclari karsilayacak ekipman var
What could be improved: Yatak ortusu ve havlu kiralanmasi cok sacma geldi. Ayrica temizlik yapmazsan 60€ para istiyor. 200€ depozito da nakit vermek lazim.Empfehlenswert – Doreen from Germany – 16 October 2024 (9/10)
Die Gastgeber wohnen im Haus und sind sehr nett. Die Wohnung war groß und passend eingerichtet. Die Gegend ist schön und ruhig, es sind ca 10 Gehminuten zum Supermarkt und zur Tram.
Séjour Alsace – Claude from France – 5 December 2023 (8/10)
La grandeur de l appartement
What could be improved: Un peu excentré du centre de StrasbourgVery good – Andrea from Germany – 4 November 2023 (8/10)
Sehr ruhig gelegen, Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Haus, öffentlicher Nahverkehr in der Nähe.
Superb – Antje from Germany – 10 October 2023 (9/10)
– Olaf from Germany – 16 July 2025 (8/10)
Ruhige Wohnlage, Parken an der Straße unproblematisch. Große Wohnung, kleiner überdachter Balkon. Bushaltestelle ca. 5 min Fußweg entfernt. Bäcker um die Ecke.
What could be improved: Teilweise etwas abgewohnt, Küche könnte besser ausgestattet sein. Sofa mit Bettlaken abgedeckt, wirkt nicht schön.Very good – Annalisa from Germany – 28 April 2024 (8/10)
Die Lage der Wohnung ist optimal: eine ruhige Gegend 2 Km vom Statdzentrum entfernt.
