Look, I’ll be honest with you – Le Studio – Tramway isn’t going to blow your mind, but it’s actually a pretty solid choice if you know what you’re getting into. The location on Avenue de Colmar is one of those spots that feels a bit removed from the tourist chaos, which I mean… some people love that, others not so much. You’re basically in a residential area that’s got this lived-in, authentic Strasbourg vibe – lots of locals going about their daily business, small cafés that don’t have English menus, that sort of thing.

What really works here is how connected you are without being in the thick of it. The tramway stop (hence the name, obviously) is literally right there, and honestly, Strasbourg’s tram system is fantastic once you figure it out. You can be in Petite France or at the cathedral in like fifteen minutes, but when you come back at night, it’s actually quiet enough to sleep properly. The rooms themselves are… well, they’re studio-style, so don’t expect a ton of space, but they’re thoughtfully laid out. Someone clearly put effort into making the most of what they had to work with. The kitchenette situation is basic but functional – I managed to make coffee and heat up pastries from the boulangerie down the street without any drama.

Here’s the thing though – this place feels more like staying in someone’s well-maintained apartment than a traditional hotel, and that 7.1 rating makes sense when you think about it that way. It’s not fancy, the lobby is pretty minimal, and sometimes the elevator makes this weird humming sound, but the staff actually seems to care about the place. Check-in was smooth, they gave me real local recommendations (not just the obvious tourist stuff), and when I had a question about laundry, they sorted it out without making it feel like a big inconvenience. The neighborhood has this morning rhythm too – you’ll hear people heading to work, kids walking to school, the usual sounds of a city waking up. If you’re someone who likes to feel like you’re experiencing real Strasbourg rather than tourist Strasbourg, this works really well. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the center, and there’s a decent grocery store within walking distance if you want to grab supplies.

  Studio très confortable et à proximité de commodité. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Assez tranquille compte tenu du fait qu’il se situe en résidence.
  
  What could be improved: Quelques points devraient tout de même être améliorés. Par exemple, il y a un soucis avec le mitigeur de la douche, car l’eau est tout juste tiède. Ce n’est pas très agréable. Il pourrait aussi être intéressant de prévoir des petits formats de condiments (huile, sel, poivre) pour pouvoir cuisiner convenablement.

  What could be improved: L'impossibilité d'ouvrir la seule fenêtre du logement pour aérer (propriétaire prévenu, j'imagine qu'il va vite traiter ce sujet 🙂)
  L'absence de chaînes sur la télévision (pas de chaînes TNT ni de box internet)
  Pas de clé pour accéder au parking souterrain (ce serait beaucoup plus confortable)

  J’ai apprécié la grande disponibilité et l’implication de l’hôte tout au long du séjour. Le logement est bien situé, ce qui le rend pratique pour se déplacer et profiter des environs. La communication a été fluide, et les réponses rapides ont été très appréciées. Merci pour l’accueil.
