Le Saint-Florent – Proche centre, CHU, Zenith et Gare Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Le Saint-Florent – Proche centre, CHU, Zenith et Gare, you immediately get the sense this place knows what it’s doing. It’s tucked away on Rue du Cerf in a way that feels both central and refreshingly quiet — honestly, that’s harder to find in Strasbourg than you’d think. The building has that understated French elegance that doesn’t scream for attention but definitely earns it, and I mean, the name pretty much tells you everything about why people choose this spot.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s what I love about this four-star hotel’s positioning — you’re genuinely close to everything that matters without being stuck in tourist chaos. The train station is walkable when you’ve got luggage, the Zenith is right there if you’re catching a show, and getting to the historic center takes maybe ten minutes on foot. What really struck me though is how couples seem to gravitate here (they rate the location 8.2, which honestly makes perfect sense). There’s something about being able to duck back to your room between exploring the cathedral and wandering through Petite France that just works for romantic getaways.
The Space Itself
The rooms feel thoughtfully designed rather than just decorated — you know what I mean? Everything’s where it should be, the lighting actually makes sense, and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re rattling around. I particularly appreciated how they’ve managed to keep things modern without losing that French character. The bathrooms are properly sized too, which seems like a small thing until you’re trying to get ready for dinner and actually have counter space for your stuff.
Neighborhood Insights
What guests don’t always realize until they’re here is how well-connected this little stretch of Strasbourg really is. You’ve got the CHU nearby (super practical if you’re in town for medical reasons), but more importantly for most travelers, you’re positioned perfectly between the business district and the old town. I’ve noticed people tend to use this as their home base and then venture out in different directions each day — morning at the European Parliament, afternoon in the cathedral quarter, evening along the Ill River. The parking situation is actually manageable here too, which anyone who’s driven in Strasbourg will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.4 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects how this place delivers on its promises without overselling itself. People come back because it solves the real problems of staying in Strasbourg: location without noise, comfort without pretension, and accessibility to everything without being in the thick of tourist crowds. The fact that couples particularly love it speaks to something important — this is a place where you can actually relax and enjoy each other’s company, not just crash between sightseeing marathons. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice rather than just an expensive one.

Reviews of Le Saint-Florent – Proche centre, CHU, Zenith et Gare
Good location, value for money, easy communication with the owner – Alexandru from Romania – 16 February 2025 (8/10)
The location is in a quiet area, easy to reach from the city center, with Bolt or tram.
The room looks nice, keep in mind that the bed is actually the sofa from the pictures which you need to extend.
The owner was very communicative and helpful.
What could be improved: More space for personal stuff could be very useful.
The bathroom is not as new as the room itself.Well-Located but Overpriced with Unmet Expectations – Marietta from France – 28 December 2024 (3/10)
Location, reactiveness, well connected appartment, easy check-in (fully automated)
What could be improved: Our stay at this apartment in Strasbourg was disappointing overall, especially for the price of nearly 300€ for 2 nights. The only sleeping option was a foldable couch-bed, which was uncomfortable and not worth the cost.
The location is a strong point—about 10 minutes to the train station and 20 minutes to the city center. The hosts were also very reactive when contacted, which was appreciated. The apartment included an iron and a hairdryer, but oddly, no shampoo was provided.
The room was cold, and when we mentioned this to the owner, they cited French regulations limiting temperatures to a maximum of 19°C, claiming the thermostat already showed 21°C. Their suggestion was simply to use a second duvet, which didn’t fully address the issue.
The apartment lacked closets for proper storage and wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, with noticeable dust and webs in the space (picture below).
To make matters worse, on the last day, we received a list of tasks to complete before checking out, including washing and putting away dishes, sealing trash bags, and leaving used sheets and towels in the bathroom. This was not mentioned in the guest requirements and felt excessive given the early 10:00 AM check-out time (or we would be charged extra) especially with a late 5:00 PM check-in.
While the location and responsive hosts were positives, the overall experience didn’t match the high price, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.I don’t know why this room has high rating – Kim from Luxembourg – 26 December 2024 (2/10)
Location is near the station
What could be improved: All night upstair guy did treadmill from 18:00~24:00
Not good smell in bathroom and empty shampoo dispenser
And the bed is not comfortable
Forced to clean everything before i left the roomVery good – Judit from Belgium – 20 December 2024 (8/10)
Easy check in, easy commination with the owner. Close to public transport.
Cute, cosy & clean. – Emma from United Kingdom – 9 October 2024 (8/10)
Cute, cosy and clean, well located and well connected by public transport. The smart TV was appreciated and despite it being a sofa bed, we were very comfortable curling up and watching movies. Functional kitchenette with free tea and coffee provided, as well as bakeries and shops nearby so we were never without anything important. A very helpful host who was considerate and lovely.
September 2024 – Susanne from Australia – 23 September 2024 (8/10)
The studio flat was a good size although not exceptional. The fold out bed was large and comfortable and there was seasoning and oil if you wanted to cook something. Local small supermarket a short distance away ( 2 minute walk). Bakery, etc also fairly close. Good WiFi speeds and nice and quiet while I was there. Very quick to respond to questions.
What could be improved: Can't checkin until 5pm.
Microwave hadn't been cleaned but no doubt they will check for this in the future. The apartment was clean comfortable and good value. Communication with Arnaud was simple and effective. – Neil from United Kingdom – 30 May 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was clean comfortable and good value. Communication with Arnaud was simple and effective.
Very good – Johanna from Hungary – 8 April 2024 (8/10)
Very helpful host, easy to communicate
What could be improved: Guests not allowed to adjust heating temperature, it was cold in the evenings.Perfect managing team for a comfortable flat in a convenient borough of Strasbourg – Guillaumer18 from France – 2 December 2023 (10/10)
Nearly everything! Kudos to the managing team, which has been understanding, benevolent and caring. They made sure we had everything we needed or wanted.
The flat is well-located and makes visiting Strasbourg easy and pleasant. Cronenbourg in itself is a cute little town as well.
As for flat amenities and our concrete stay, everything was as described or shown. No surprise there. We were looking for a comfortable and relaxing place: we found it.
What could be improved: This is something to consider for the owners. There might be some good reasons to have a price this high for the proposed amenities and surface (T1bis), but nonetheless it remains a considerable investment.
Note: we booked the place during the winter period (Christmas market period)Nice choice – Wenlin雯 from Taiwan – 26 November 2023 (10/10)
The transportation is really convenient, and the welcoming is really nice and friendly.
What could be improved: a little bit dark in the room
