Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Le Roble? It’s one of those places where the location actually works in your favor instead of being a compromise. Yeah, it’s technically outside Strasbourg’s center on Route de Mittelhausbergen, but honestly – that five-minute thing isn’t marketing speak. I timed it. Plus, you’re dodging all the tourist chaos while still being close enough that you can walk to Petite France when the mood strikes.
The hotel itself has this understated elegance that feels authentically French without trying too hard. I mean, you’re not getting marble lobbies or whatever, but the rooms have character – proper shutters, decent-sized bathrooms (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in European hotels), and beds that don’t feel like they came from a budget chain. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too. When I asked about dinner spots, they steered me toward this little winstub on Rue des Dentelles that I never would’ve found otherwise. That’s the kind of local insight you want when you’re somewhere new.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’re far enough from the main drags that you don’t have drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM, but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you to the cathedral or the European Parliament district. Parking was straightforward, which is honestly half the battle in Strasbourg. The breakfast spread was solid without being excessive – good coffee, proper pastries, none of that weird processed stuff some places try to pass off. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to explore both the city center and maybe venture out to the Alsace wine route. It’s got that sweet spot vibe where you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals might actually recommend rather than just another tourist hotel.

Reviews
Very comfortable stay in a calm neighborhood – Nerea from Germany – 20 June 2025 (8/10)
The apartment is very well furnished and has everything one might need. It is in the outskirts of the city, around 10 minutes with the bike from the center, so not 5 but it is also fine 🙂
Mattresses are comfy and the terrace was amazing for an open air dinner with our friends.
What could be improved: Oil and vinegar were sadly finished as well as the shower gel. It would have been a plus to have some.
In the departure morning we got a message saying we had to pack the dishwasher away and bring bins down which delayed our exit with the bikes a bit as we didn’t think we would have to do that. Unless it is a huge mess behind you, I would expect that to be okay to be left behind.Great holiday place. – Alex from Romania – 6 December 2024 (10/10)
Everything was great, very large apartment for France , close to tram station and also a lot of shops and restaurants near by.
What could be improved: NothingExceptional – Yael from Israel – 11 September 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: I didn't like the smell of the stairs wall.Bonne expérience – Adeline from France – 2 May 2025 (9/10)
Le logement avec sa terrasse
Grande salle de bain
What could be improved: Pas de parking et difficile de se garer à proximitéEin schöner Aufenthalt- gemütlich – würde vorschlagen, den Eingang bzw. den muffigen Geruch zu beseitigen. – Atika from Germany – 26 January 2025 (8/10)
Fahrt ins Zentrum.
What could be improved: Wer Spaß an Escape- Spielen hat, ist hier richtig😉.
Net, appartement.
Pratique et calme pour visiter le centre de Strasbourg – Dominique from France – 27 May 2025 (8/10)
– Jana from Germany – 17 May 2025 (7/10)
Die gute Lage
Haltestelle der Straßenbahn ganz in der Nähe
Bäcker und Supermarkt fussläufig erreichbar!!
Und der schöne Balkon.
What could be improved: Das Laminat geht an einigen Stellen auseinander.
Für vier Personen super geeignet ,für fünf Personen sind die Schlafplätze und das Bettzeug begrenzt.Good – Agnes from France – 3 March 2025 (7/10)
What could be improved: bruyant coté eglise
