Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Le Nid Alsacien when I first booked it – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, and apartment-style places can be hit or miss. But walking up to 134 Grand’Rue, I immediately got why this spot has that solid 8.2 rating. You’re literally in the heart of Strasbourg’s old town, and I mean *literally* – step outside and you’re on one of those cobblestone streets that makes you feel like you’ve wandered into a fairy tale. The building itself has that classic Alsatian charm without being overly touristy about it, you know? It’s actually a working neighborhood, which I love. You’ll hear locals chatting in French and German as they head to the boulangerie in the morning, and there’s something really authentic about that.
The T2 setup works brilliantly for couples or even solo travelers who want more than just a hotel box. I mean, having a proper kitchenette changes everything – you can grab fresh bread and cheese from the market at Place du Marché aux Poissons (just a three-minute walk) and actually enjoy breakfast without paying hotel prices. The space feels bigger than typical European accommodations, and whoever decorated it clearly gets that travelers want comfort, not just Instagram-worthy corners. The bed’s actually comfortable – not always a given in these converted apartments – and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which honestly made my day after a long walk around Petite France. One small thing though: the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs. It’s not terrible, but Grand’Rue does get some foot traffic, especially on weekends when people are bar-hopping.
What really sold me on this place is how it puts you right in the middle of everything without feeling like a tourist trap. The cathedral is maybe a seven-minute stroll, and you can easily walk to Petite France or catch the tram to the European Parliament if that’s your thing. But here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you – being on Grand’Rue means you’re perfectly positioned for the real Strasbourg experience. There’s this amazing little wine bar called Le Tire-Bouchon about two blocks down that locals actually frequent, and the Saturday morning bustle outside your window feels like being part of the city rather than just observing it. Check-in was smooth (they actually respond to messages quickly, which isn’t always the case with apartment rentals), and they gave solid recommendations for places that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. For a 3-star place, it punches above its weight – you’re getting location, comfort, and that sense of actually living in Strasbourg rather than just visiting it.
To book a hotel in Strasbourg during the famous Christmas Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts holiday enthusiasts and culture lovers from around the world.

Great location! – Cross from Australia – 23 July 2024 (7/10)
This apartment is in a great location and was clean and well presented. Having a washing machine and clothes airer (for drying) was fabulous. The kitchen is well set up and the unit is a great size. A nice change from a small hotel room.
What could be improved: Unfortunately the apartment doesn't have air con and we were staying over some especially hot days. The bed is small and definitely a squeeze for two. The smell in the bathrooms was quite noticeable but the owners tell us they are aware and trying to rectify this.Good – Endri from Albania – 16 December 2023 (7/10)
The location was very good, near the main attractions.

Localización y espacios
What could be improved: Tener que recoger las llaves a otro lugar y tener que regresarlas a ese lugar en el check out, muchas telarañas en las ventanas que imposibilitan abrirlas , no había wifi, la tv no funciona y está rota.Good – Maïlys from France – 3 January 2025 (7/10)
What could be improved: La télé était dysfonctionnelle.
Exceptional – Guillermo from Spain – 28 March 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Falta de papel Higienico
