Honestly, when I first walked into Le Molsheim, I wasn’t expecting much from the name – it sounds more like a sleepy Alsatian village than a Strasbourg apartment hotel. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the oddest names surprise you the most. This grand apartment sits right on Rue de Molsheim, which is actually this quiet residential street that feels miles away from the tourist chaos, even though you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the Modern Art Museum.

The thing about this place is that it really does feel like staying in someone’s actual apartment – and I mean that in the best way possible. The space is genuinely spacious (hence the “grand” in the name, I guess), with these high ceilings that make you forget you’re in what’s technically a 3-star place. The kitchen is actually functional, not one of those hotel kitchenettes where you can barely boil water. I ended up cooking breakfast there most mornings because, well, there’s something nice about making coffee in a real French press while looking out at the neighborhood coming to life. The local boulangerie is just around the corner on Rue de la Krutenau if you want proper croissants though – trust me on this one.

What really won me over was the location. Sure, it’s not right in Petite France where all the tour groups congregate, but that’s actually perfect. You’re in this authentic residential pocket where you hear church bells instead of tour bus engines, and the tram stop at Observatoire is close enough that you can be at the cathedral in fifteen minutes if you want. The Modern Art Museum being so close is obviously great if you’re into that scene, but honestly, I found myself just wandering the neighborhood more than anything. There’s this little wine bar called Le Tire-Bouchon about five minutes away that serves incredible Riesling – the kind of place you’d never find if you stayed in the tourist center. Parking can be a bit tricky (street parking only, and locals know all the good spots), but the trade-off is worth it for the authenticity. The 7.6 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a real Strasbourg experience without the tourist markup.

  The apartment is close to the centre of Strasbourg, a supermarket is nearby in case you need something. A tram stop is also next to the apartment. The flat is clean and spacious for us 3 adults and 2 children.
  
  What could be improved: The location to collect and drop the key is a bit far, its not convenient if you are carrying a lot of luggage. It wouldn't be an issue if you are taking the train as the collection point is close to Strasbourg Train station. Also the apartment is on the top floor, 5th floor and no lift . There was no mark on the door to indicate where the apartment is, it would help other guests if a number or atleast a sign is put in place to know which door to go. Lastly, the sink in the bathroom is too high for petite people like us. It is a struggle when you have young kids.

  L'appartement est spacieux, propre et les pièces sont bien agencées. Il y un arrêt de bus et un arrêt de tram au pied de l' immeuble; très pratique. Les commerces et autres services sont à proximité.
  
  What could be improved: Les moins bons points :
  – appartement situé au 5e étage sans ascenseur. Quand on a de bagages un peu lourds, c'est très embêtant.
  – un seul jeu de clés. Quand on est en groupe et qu'on a des programmes de sortie différents, ce n'est pas bien pratique pour se laisser un double de clés,
  – L'automatisation des envois des messages non personnalisés via cocoonr. Pas facile pour les arrivées après 22h. Un grand merci à Monsieur Aggoun El-Hachemi qui nous a beaucoup rassuré.

  What could be improved: L’appartamento seppur comodo al suo interno si divide su un soppalco per la camera da tre con scale un po’ ripide e pericolanti.
  Purtroppo si trova al 5º piano senza ascensore e non è adatto a tutti

  Si. problema no tener ascensor! y en el piso superior debería tener la escalera una barandilla por seguridad al bajar escaleras.

  Op zich was het wel ok, maar de foto's deden meer verwachten dan dat het was. De bedden waren niet heel goed, slechte matras, de zetel was kapot, de stop van het bad (afvoer) was kapot. Voor de rest heel basic maar proper. Ik denk prijs/kwaliteit in orde.

  Nur die Lage in der Nähe vom Zentrum- 10-15 Minuten laufen!
  
  What could be improved: Extrem unsauber, defekte Badewanne, kein Strom im Gäste-WC, defekte satellitenanlage=kein TV, lockere Steckdosen=Gefahr für die Kinder, Wandleisten mit Nadeln abgefallen und daneben liegengelassen.
  
  In der Beschreibung wird nicht erwähnt, dass es im fünften Stock eines alten Gebäudes ohne Lift ist! Wenn man viel Gepäck hat, wird es anstrengend, die Treppen sind in Spirale ( schön zu fotografieren:)und sehr eng
  
  Auch die Parkmöglichkeiten werden nicht erwähnt, erst nach der Buchung bekommt man die Infos!
  
  Vorsicht bei Check-in: Schlüssel befindet sich nicht im Gebäude, mit einem Code wird man zu einem anderen Hotel geschickt( offen nur bis um acht)!!!
  
  Außer Bad( hell und relativ neu) ist nichts Neues in der Wohnung!
