You know what caught me off guard about Le Loft à Bulles? The name actually undersells it. I mean, sure, you expect something decent when you see “loft” and “bubbles” in French, but walking into this 85-square-meter space on Route des Romains felt like stumbling into someone’s incredibly well-appointed private hideaway. The jacuzzi isn’t just tacked on as an afterthought – it’s properly integrated into this whole wellness setup they’ve got going, complete with a hammam that actually gets hot enough to matter and a sauna that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Honestly, after spending a day wandering around Strasbourg’s old town (which is gorgeous but absolutely exhausting on the feet), sinking into that jacuzzi while looking out at the Alsatian countryside was pretty much perfect.

The billiard table threw me for a loop initially – I wasn’t expecting it to fit so naturally into the space, but somehow it works. There’s this whole lounge area with a proper bar setup, and the lighting is dim enough that you feel like you’re in some upscale speakeasy rather than a rental property. The shower deserves its own mention because, well, it’s one of those rainfall situations that makes you never want to leave, and the water pressure is consistently strong (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re dealing with European plumbing). What I really appreciated was how quiet everything stays despite being on a main route – the windows are clearly well-insulated, and you’re far enough from Strasbourg’s center that you don’t get the late-night tram noise that can keep you up in some of the city hotels.

The location is actually pretty smart if you think about it. You’re about a fifteen-minute drive from the cathedral and Petite France, but you get to avoid the tourist crowds when you want to decompress. There’s decent parking right there, which – let’s be real – is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to navigate Strasbourg’s medieval street layout with a rental car. The 9.4 rating makes sense once you spend time there; it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does offer is genuinely well-executed. I’d say it’s perfect for couples who want something more interesting than a standard hotel room, or honestly, small groups who don’t mind sharing space because there’s enough room to spread out. The whole experience feels more like borrowing a friend’s amazing apartment than staying in typical accommodation – which, depending on what you’re after, could be exactly what makes a trip memorable.

  Die vielen Annehmlichkeiten wie Whirlpool, Hammam, Billard-Tisch und Sauna gepaart mit der Beleuchtung (und dem Fakt, dass alles einwandfrei funktioniert hat) sowie der guten Anbindung an die Straßenbahn zur Innenstadt (+ P+R Parkplatz 400n entfernt) machten den Aufenthalt für uns sehr angenehm, gerne wieder.
