Honestly, when I first walked up to Le Lilly Rose on Rue des Juifs, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the street’s tucked away in one of those narrow medieval lanes where you’d easily miss it if you weren’t looking. But that’s actually part of the charm here. This little mini duplex sits right in the heart of Strasbourg’s old quarter, and I mean literally in the heart – you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the cathedral, which you’ll hear chiming every hour (not annoying, surprisingly soothing).

The duplex itself is pretty clever, honestly. It’s got this cozy, lived-in feel that makes you forget you’re in a rental. The owners clearly put thought into the layout – there’s actually enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes, which is more than I can say for most European city stays. The stairs up to the loft bedroom are a bit steep (just so you know), but the bedroom itself has these lovely old beams that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s actual home rather than a hotel room. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – even though you’re surrounded by restaurants and cafés, the building seems to block out most of the street noise.

You know what really sold me on this place though? The location is just… well, it’s perfect if you want to actually experience Strasbourg rather than just see it. There’s this little boulangerie maybe fifty meters away where locals line up every morning – I mean, when you see French people queueing for bread, you know it’s the real deal. And you can walk to Petite France in about ten minutes, but you’re not stuck in the tourist bubble all the time. The tram stop at Langstross Grand’Rue is super close too, which honestly saved my feet more than once. Parking’s a bit of a puzzle (like everywhere in the old town), but there’s a public garage nearby if you’re driving. The whole area comes alive in the evenings – you’ll hear people chatting at the wine bars below, but it’s that good kind of city buzz, not chaos. I’d definitely stay here again, especially in late spring when you can keep the windows open and really soak in that old-world Strasbourg atmosphere.

  Zentral, ein paar Gehminuten von der Kathedrale entfernt. Sehr hübsch eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Absolut ruhig. Schönes Wohnquartier mit chiquen Ladenlokalen, Bistros, Bäckereien. Sehr hilfsbereites Office-Team

  Exigu, plafond très bas sur l'ensemble du logement, escaliers abruptes, la courette menant à l'appartement sert de garage à vélo et de lieu de stockage des poubelles.
  Nuisances liées aux déplacements dans cette courette. Séjour écourté, trop cher pour ce que c'est. Expérience très décevante.
