Honestly, when I first walked up to Le Hoffman on Boulevard du Président Wilson, I wasn’t expecting much – the street’s pretty busy and you’ve got that typical Strasbourg mix of modern buildings alongside the older stuff. But stepping inside this apartment completely changed my perspective. It’s one of those places where someone actually thought about how people live, not just where they sleep for a night.

The location is kind of perfect if you know Strasbourg at all. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from the cathedral (I timed it), but you’re far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually hear yourself think. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night – I mean, you’re on a main boulevard, so I was expecting traffic noise, but the windows must be really well insulated because I slept better than I do at home. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home, not a sterile hotel room. There’s this attention to comfort that you don’t usually get – proper lighting where you need it, enough outlets for all your devices (trust me, this matters), and a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals. I ended up making breakfast there most mornings because, well, why not? The coffee shops around Place Kléber are great, but sometimes you just want to ease into your day.

You know what really impressed me though? The whole check-in process was so smooth, and the host clearly knows the neighborhood inside and out. They pointed me toward this little bakery on Rue des Grandes Arcades that I never would’ve found otherwise – honestly some of the best pain au chocolat I had during my entire stay in Alsace. The apartment’s got that 4-star rating for good reason, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or overly formal like some places do. It’s more like staying at a really well-organized friend’s place, if that makes sense. The 9.1 rating actually feels about right – I can see why people love it here, though I suppose if you’re the type who needs daily housekeeping or a concierge, this might not be your thing. But for anyone who wants to experience Strasbourg like you actually live there for a few days, rather than just passing through as a tourist, this place gets it right. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to Petite France when you want that postcard-perfect Strasbourg experience, but you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically local rather than touristy.

  It is a very spacious flat with a balcony. We loved the specious living room. Location is super good – close to the central station and walking distance to old town.
  
  What could be improved: It was said in the email before the stay that the code for opening the lock box for getting the keys but I went through everything – code was not there. I had to call to get the code.

  Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, man kommt in ca. 10 Minuten in die Innenstadt zu Fuß. Parkmöglichkeiten sind auf der Strasse (teuer) und im Parkhaus gegnüber (21,- Euro/24 Std.) Ein Fahrstuhl ist vorhanden, die Wohnung ist gross, mit 2 Schlafzimmern. Toilette und Bad sind getrennt, die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Es gibt einen schönen Parkettboden. Die Sauberkeit war exzellent.
  
  What could be improved: Wohnzimmer, Balkon und ein Schlafzimmer liegen an einer mehrspurigen Strasse mit Kreuzung, dadurch ist es laut, wenn die Fenster offen sind. Diese isolieren gut, nur bei hohen Temperaturen (es waren außen 32 Grad) kann man keinen Durchzug machen (keine Klimaanlage), dazu ist es dann ziemlich laut und es gibt schlechte Luft. Ein Schlafzimmer blickt in den Innenhof, hier ist es leise. Im Hochsommer würde ich das Apartment nicht wieder buchen, sonst sehr gern.
