Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Le Brasilia? The name makes it sound way more exotic than it actually is – this is just a really solid, well-designed apartment tucked away on Boulevard Leblois, which honestly most tourists probably walk right past without noticing. But that’s kind of the beauty of it. I mean, you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the cathedral and all that tourist madness, but the street itself has this quiet residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re actually living in Strasbourg rather than just passing through. The apartment is genuinely new – like, you can still smell that fresh paint and clean carpet smell when you walk in, which some people love and others find a bit sterile, but I appreciated knowing everything was spotless. The terrace is what really sells it though. It’s not huge, but it faces the right direction to catch morning sun, and there’s something satisfying about having your coffee out there while watching locals head to work.

The setup works perfectly for four people, assuming you don’t mind the typical European apartment layout where the living spaces flow together more than Americans might expect. Actually, the kitchen surprised me – it’s got everything you need to cook real meals, not just the sad hot plate situation you get in a lot of vacation rentals. The location is honestly brilliant if you know Strasbourg at all. Boulevard Leblois puts you in this sweet spot where you can walk to Petite France in one direction and the train station in the other, but you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds of staying right in the historical center. Parking can be tricky around here – it’s that typical French city situation where you might circle the block a few times – but once you figure out the rhythm of the neighborhood, it’s manageable. I loved being able to grab groceries at the little shops along the way and actually cook dinner instead of eating out every night, especially since Strasbourg restaurant prices can add up fast. The whole building feels secure and well-maintained, and check-in was surprisingly smooth – none of that frantic key-hunting drama you sometimes get with apartment rentals.

Here’s the thing about this place: it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or historic charm, but it nails the fundamentals so well that you stop thinking about where you’re staying and start focusing on exploring the city. The 8.8 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not perfect (the shower pressure could be better, and the terrace furniture is pretty basic), but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re the type who wants to feel like a local for a few days rather than a tourist, and you don’t need someone holding your hand through every detail, this is your spot. Plus, being able to spread out with actual living space after days of cramped hotel rooms? Honestly priceless. Just don’t expect much help with restaurant recommendations – you’re on your own for that, but half the fun is wandering around and discovering things anyway.

Reviews

  • Refurbished & spacious – Carlos from Brazil – 19 January 2025 (9/10)

Refurbished and new! Excellent for the cost, 15 min walking from center

What could be improved: Missing some power outlets in the room. Very small detail…

  • Great experience – Dane from North Macedonia – 4 October 2024 (9/10)

It was comfortable with enough space and well equipped with furniture and facilities. It was ok the roof top floor with excellent view. The bathroom was great and the bedroom very comfortable

What could be improved: That the cleaning service at the end needed to be done by our selves and that the owner was communicating in French.

  • Recommended for a great apartment stay in Strasbourg – Jarren from Malaysia – 18 September 2024 (10/10)

Excellent stay, apartment is clean, looks new and modern. Check-in and check-out is easy and host is super good, great communication and informative of any queries. Location is near the university of Strasbourg, nice area

What could be improved: The printed manual in the apartment is non-English so that’s quite peculiar for international tourists (only seen this happen in France haha)

  • Excellent – Νικήτας from Greece – 4 September 2024 (10/10)

Very spacious clean with very good location especially if you deal with the university
All the comforts for an appartment and the best thing the balcony with the great view from the 8th floor

What could be improved: Nothing all good
The only thing that I missed was an Nespresso cofee maker

  • Just great. – Hermann from Germany – 16 July 2024 (10/10)

It was just great. The location is superb, the flat is big and comfortable and very clean. I was for a week there due to a business trip and I could really relax there. The bed was super comfy as well. The host is super friendly and helps if you need something. The Check in is super easy

What could be improved: It was just a bit warm but with the balcony door open this was no issue and the balcony was the best place to chill anyway.

  • Superb – Daniele from Italy – 13 May 2024 (9/10)

Great, spacious flat. Perfect for a work trip.

  • Exceptional – Pamela from Mexico – 5 February 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is really nice and the view from the terrace is great. The location is also very centric.

  • Good – Sudhanshu from France – 5 August 2024 (7/10)

Location. Very nicely situated near tram station. Lift is available and place has everything what has been shown in the website. Spacious house and bear to University of Strasbourg. Very nice balcony and view from there. We had a comfortable stay there. TV and other things are in proper working conditions.

What could be improved: They do not have chimney in the kitchen so if you wish to cook, beware that it may cause issues of staining and smell inside the apartment. Host is also quite rude and threatened us to complain to booking.com because she though we left the apartment very dirty. Major part of the problem was cooking without chimney which left stains on the walls and second was a big water leakage issue in the which caused the chaos whole night and the cleaning issue. Eventually after our counter threat, she was pacified and accepted her mistake.

  • Superb – Myriam from France – 19 June 2025 (9/10)

    Tout était parfait !

What could be improved: Contact quasi inexistant avec la propriétaire.

  • Superb – Ghada from France – 25 March 2025 (9/10)

Excellent rapport qualité prix ! L'appartement est confortable et très bien situé. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour là bas, je vous le recommande !
