Okay, so La Halte Strasbourgeoise has this ridiculously long name that basically translates to “beautiful apartment near Petite France,” and honestly? They’re not overselling it. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from those iconic half-timbered houses and canals that everyone posts on Instagram, but here’s the thing – being on Rue du Dragon means you’re just far enough away that you won’t be dealing with tour groups shuffling past your window at 7 AM.

The apartment itself is pretty solid for what you’re paying. It’s got that European charm without being annoyingly quaint, you know? The kitchen actually works (I’ve stayed in places where the stove was more decorative than functional), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The Wi-Fi is decent – I was able to work from there without wanting to throw my laptop out the window. One small thing though: the shower pressure isn’t amazing, but it’s perfectly fine if you’re not expecting hotel spa vibes. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 9 PM, which was actually perfect for me since I’d spent my days wandering around the cathedral area and those cobblestone streets are no joke on your feet.

What I really appreciated was how easy it made exploring the real Strasbourg. You’re close enough to walk to the touristy bits – the cathedral is maybe ten minutes if you don’t get distracted by all the little shops – but you’re also right there for the good stuff locals actually use. There’s this bakery around the corner that does these incredible pretzels (way better than what you’ll find near the main square), and the Auchan for groceries is walkable if you don’t mind a little stroll. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but there are spots if you’re patient – or honestly, just use the trams, they’re everywhere and super reliable. The whole place just feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I guess makes sense since it’s more of a local apartment than a traditional hotel setup. For a three-star spot with a 7 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.

  The location was near La Petite France, which is perfect to visit Strasbourg. The apartment its self had all the conditions we asked for a 5 night stay. We recommend it.

  Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut. Man ist schnell im beliebten Petite France und kann die Unterkunft mit der Tram und ein paar Metern zu Fuß gut erreichen.
  Die Wohnung hat zwei große gemütliche Betten und theoretisch auch noch Platz für 1-2 Personen auf einem Schlafsofa im wohn/essbereich.
  
  What could be improved: Die Unterkunft ist im Erdgeschoss und man kann die großen Fenster eigentlich gar nicht öffnen. Von außen sind sie mit Fensterläden verschlossen und von innen mit einem Sicherheitsschloss, sodass auch Lüften nicht möglich ist. Die Vermieter hatten diverse Duftständer aufgestellt um, nehme ich an, den feuchten Kellergeruch der in der gesamten Wohnung herrscht zu übertünchen.
  
  Das Bad hat leider nur eine Schiebetür, die sich nicht richtig schließen lässt. Es fehlt irgendwie ein duschvorhang, weil sonst alles nass wird wenn man duscht.
  
  Die Schlafzimmer sind nur per steiler Treppe erreichbar. Spartanisch aber mit dem nötigsten eingerichtet. Vor den Schlafzimmern steht allerdings ein Gerät was wohl zum belüften oder entlüften der unteren Räume ist. Das Gerät ist tierisch laut und man kann nur mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen. Ausmachen darf man es auch nicht.
  
  Die Küche ist nicht super gut ausgestattet. Es fehlt ein richtiges Schneidebrett und in einer Wohnung in einer Weingegend erwarte ich auch Weingläser.

  What could be improved: Ми довго не могли відкривали скриньку де знаходився ключ, їх на дверях було дві, отримавши ключ вказано було, що вхід до нашої квартири праворуч, проте двері не відчинялись, як виявилось вхід був не з підʼїзду, а просто сусідні двері на вулиці, це був просто квест!
  Та це нас не засмутило, а от зайшовши в апартаменти ми зрозуміли, що дві спальні знаходяться в підвалі, де немає вікон і достатньо холодно, не говорячи вже про сирість!
