Hotel Description

So I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to KEZA’s Apartment on Boulevard la Fontaine, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s this pretty typical residential building in the Robertsau area, which honestly most tourists completely skip over. But you know what? That ended up being exactly why I loved staying here.

The thing about this place is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days, not stuck in some sterile hotel bubble downtown. Boulevard la Fontaine is one of those tree-lined streets where you’ll hear actual French conversations drifting from café terraces, not the usual tourist chatter. The apartment itself has that lived-in charm – I mean, it’s clean and comfortable, don’t get me wrong, but it feels like someone’s actual home rather than a corporate hotel room. The kitchen actually has proper coffee (thank god), and there’s this little balcony where I’d sit in the mornings watching the neighborhood wake up. Sure, the décor isn’t going to win any design awards, but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try too hard.

What really sold me on the location was discovering that you’re maybe a fifteen-minute tram ride from the cathedral, but you’re also walking distance to Parc de l’Orangerie – which, if you haven’t been, is where all the Strasbourg families go on weekends. There’s this fantastic little boulangerie just two blocks down that opens crazy early, and I swear their pain au chocolat was better than anything I found in the touristy center. The 7.9 rating makes total sense to me because it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Parking was actually manageable on the street (miracle in Strasbourg), and the whole area stays pretty quiet at night – unlike some of the party zones closer to the university. My only real complaint was that the Wi-Fi got a bit spotty in the evenings, probably when everyone in the building was streaming Netflix, but honestly that forced me to actually explore the neighborhood instead of doom-scrolling. If you’re the type who wants to experience Strasbourg beyond the postcard shots and tourist traps, this is your spot. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge – you’re basically borrowing someone’s life for a few days, which turned out to be exactly what I needed.

    Friendly host.
    Comfortable, recently renovated apartment.
Free street parking at your door.

What could be improved: A full length mirror in the hallway would be great.

  • Superb – Kalina from Bulgaria – 9 February 2024 (9/10)

Very nice apartament, just as in the pictures. The communication with the host was great. There was some leftover food in the cabinets but otherwise very clean. Worth the price.

What could be improved: Would recommend fixing the doorknob in one of the bedrooms.

  • Clean and comfy – J from Philippines – 22 February 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was clean, almost everything you need are available. It's like a real home away from home. Free parking space also (you just have to find an available spot). Price is also good for the whole apartment.

What could be improved: I just wish we could regulate the heater. And maybe a bit bigger pots and pans for cooking for groups. But maybe most of the guests don't really cook and just buy food from the outside. But all in all, we loved our stay!

  • Excellent value for money! – Gaurav from Netherlands – 24 August 2023 (8/10)

Host is very supportive and responsive, due to traffic we reached around 11pm, still they managed to send someone with the keys. The apartmant is neat with all the facilities and free parking is a plus.

    What could be improved: Nothing.
