Ibis Styles Strasbourg Centre Gare Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Ibis Styles Strasbourg Centre Gare, you immediately notice how the modern design stands out against the classic Alsatian architecture surrounding it. The hotel sits right in the heart of Strasbourg, and I mean literally — you’re steps away from the main train station, which honestly makes arriving here ridiculously easy whether you’re coming from Paris or anywhere else in Europe. The lobby has this contemporary vibe that feels fresh without trying too hard, and the staff actually seems genuinely happy to see you arrive.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to Petite France in about fifteen minutes, and the cathedral is maybe ten minutes away if you take your time. The three-star rating might not sound fancy, but the location more than makes up for any frills you might miss. There’s a tram stop practically outside the door, so getting around the city is effortless. You know what’s really convenient? There’s parking available, which anyone who’s tried to drive in Strasbourg’s old town will appreciate — trust me on this one. The proximity to major attractions makes it an ideal base for exploring.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but smartly designed — everything you need without feeling cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range hotel, and the bathroom was modern and clean. I actually appreciated the large windows that let in plenty of natural light, something you don’t always get in city center hotels. The air conditioning worked well during my summer visit, which was a relief given how warm it can get in Alsace during July. Storage space is thoughtfully integrated throughout.
Dining and Daily Rhythms
The breakfast buffet is solid — nothing extraordinary, but it gets the job done with fresh pastries, decent coffee, and the usual continental spread. There’s a restaurant on-site, though honestly, with Strasbourg’s incredible dining scene right outside your door, you’d be crazy not to explore. The hotel bar is perfect for a quick drink before heading out, and the staff can point you toward some excellent local spots that tourists often miss. The dining options cater to various preferences and dietary needs.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it balances practicality with comfort — couples particularly seem to love it here, and I can see why. It’s that sweet spot where you’re not paying for amenities you won’t use, but you’re getting everything that actually matters for exploring the city. The 8.3 rating reflects what you experience: reliable, well-located, and professionally run without any pretense. If you want to be in the thick of things in Strasbourg without breaking the bank, this is honestly one of the smarter choices you can make. The hotel consistently delivers on its promises to guests.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Strasbourg through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich Franco-German heritage.

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was nice, fantastic shower, comfortable bed, location super when you travel by train.
What could be improved: The curtains in the bedroom block the light, but there was a glass door to the bathroom, so the sunlight still came in the room through there.Enjoyed my stay. Staff was accommodating – Sheryl from United Arab Emirates – 29 April 2025 (9/10)

The property is located just facing the main station and close to the tram station as well. Nearby one has easy access to supermarkets, cafés and city centre is also-15 to 29 minutes by walking . The breakfast is splendid even for vegetarians . The staff is super sweet and helpful. The facilities such as heating , air conditioning everything is provided . In request we got one more blanket as we needed. Overall worth the money for our Christmas markets trip . Also in lounge there were free coffee , popcorn , fruits , chocolates available! With foosball table and a vending machine too!
What could be improved: The room we booked was pretty small. We could just open one luggage at a time. But it was comfortable.טוב מאוד – Anat from Israel – 15 September 2024 (9/10)
