Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place – the Hyper Centre Krutenau Étoile Bourse Appart has one of those ridiculously long names that sounds way more complicated than it actually is. It’s basically a solid apartment-style spot right in the heart of Strasbourg’s old town, and honestly? The location alone makes it worth considering.
You’re literally on Rue du Jeu-de-Paume, which – if you know Strasbourg at all – puts you smack in the middle of everything that matters. I mean, you can stumble out the door and hit Place Kléber in about three minutes, and the cathedral’s Gothic spires are practically looming over you. The Krutenau district (that’s the neighborhood name they’re dropping in the title) is this perfect mix of students, locals, and tourists who actually know what they’re doing. You’ll hear French, German, and about five other languages just walking to grab your morning coffee. The apartment setup works really well here because you’re not stuck eating hotel breakfast – there’s this fantastic boulangerie literally around the corner where locals queue up for their daily bread, and the Saturday market on Place du Marché-aux-Poissons is close enough that you can smell the fresh produce.
Now, it’s a three-star place with a 7.7 rating, which actually tells you something useful – it’s not trying to be fancy, but people leave satisfied. The rooms have that practical European efficiency thing going on, and you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. No unnecessary frills, just clean spaces with decent Wi-Fi and kitchenettes that actually work. The building itself has character (read: it’s old, but in a good way), and you might hear your neighbors occasionally, but that’s city center living for you. What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed to maintain that Strasbourg charm – you’ll see those distinctive Alsatian architectural touches without feeling like you’re staying in some theme park version of France. Parking can be tricky, but honestly, that’s true anywhere in the Grande Île area, and you’re so central that you won’t need a car anyway. The tram stops are everywhere, and if you’re feeling ambitious, you can walk to Petite France in fifteen minutes through some of the prettiest streets in Europe. Just don’t expect luxury hotel service – this is more like borrowing a well-located friend’s apartment, which can be exactly what you need when you want to actually live in Strasbourg for a few days instead of just passing through.

The apartment is in a great location, very clean and very comfortable. It had towels, shampoo, bedsheets and everything we needed. The hosts are extremely friendly and nice. Everything was perfect!
Stayed only 1 night but it was an expensive period so price quality was not fully in line and representative. Overall ok – Enzo from Italy – 28 December 2024 (5/10)
Very basic and simple
What could be improved: LocationPleasant – Angelica from Germany – 24 June 2025 (6/10)
The host was friendly and the apartment was good for 4 people and clean
What could be improved: There weren't enough pillows and sheets for the number of people.
The shower curtain was very yellowed (kind of dirty) and it was difficult to regulate the water temperature. The bathroom sink was leaking.
The bedroom blind had a broken cord and was falling apart, so it had to be tied up to keep it open.Apartamento cercano al centro histórico de Estrasburgo – Carlos from Colombia – 23 May 2025 (7/10)
