When I first saw the name “Grand appartement spacieux,” I honestly rolled my eyes a bit – I mean, everyone claims their place is spacious, right? But walking into this three-star spot, it really does live up to that promise. The ceilings are higher than you’d expect, and there’s this sense of breathing room that’s pretty rare in European city centers.

What really got me was the location – you’re tucked into this quiet residential street that most tourists never stumble across, but you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the cathedral. I mean, you can hear the bells if you open the windows, which is either charming or annoying depending on how you feel about being woken up on Sunday mornings. The neighborhood has this authentic Strasbourg vibe that you miss when you’re staying right in the tourist zone. There’s a little boulangerie around the corner where the owner actually remembers your croissant preference after a couple days, and honestly, that’s worth something. The tram line isn’t right outside your door, but it’s close enough that getting around is no hassle – though fair warning, those cobblestone streets can be a bit rough if you’re dragging heavy luggage.

The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I actually prefer. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in the back bedroom (learned that the hard way during a work call), but there’s something refreshingly honest about the place. The kitchen is properly equipped – not just some sad mini-fridge situation – so you can actually cook if you want to save some euros or just crave a quiet breakfast. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me; it’s solidly good without trying to be something it’s not. You know what I appreciated most? The check-in was straightforward, no drama, and when the heating acted up one evening, someone actually came to fix it the next morning. It’s that kind of reliable, no-fuss experience that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere run by people who actually care, not just a faceless booking algorithm.

  It is indeed spacious. Close to central train station bus line and tram to city center. Close to carrefour express too

  L'appartement est très pratique pour un groupe, les deux salles de douche/Wc sont appréciables.
  La décoration est sobre et soignée, la cuisine très bien équipée et pratique.
  Tout était très propre.
  Nous avons apprécié la réactivité et la flexibilité de l'hôte.
  L'appartement est très bien situé à environ 15min de l'hypercentre de Strasbourg.
  
  What could be improved: Plusieurs petits bémols, mais rien de très grave :
  Un petit cafouillage lors de notre arrivée : les draps et serviettes étaient encore en train de sécher partout.
  Nous l'avons immédiatement signalé et quelques minutes plus tard, quelqu'un est passé pour régler le soucis immédiatement.
  La porte n'a qu'une seule clé, ce qui est un peu compliqué pour un grand groupe, et la porte de l'appartement ne pouvait pas être fermée à clé de l'extérieur ( la porte étant tout de même fermée car il faut la clé pour accéder de l'extérieur mais impossible de remettre un tour de clé en plus )

  Die Größe der Unterkunft. Es gibt 4 Schlafzimmer, ideal für eine große Gruppe! Und die Lage ist wirklich toll, super zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Mit dem Schlüssel hat alles toll geklappt und die Kommunikation war sehr nett.
  
  What could be improved: Leider waren die Badezimmer nicht sehr sauber und noch fremde Haare am Boden. Die Küche war schlecht ausgestattet, es gab nicht genügend Gläser und keine Standard Ausstattung wie Öl, Salz/Pfeffer, Schere und Ähnliches.

  – Abfluss in kleiner Dusche verstopft
  – wir waren eine Gruppe von 6 Arbeitskollegen, und eine Person musste auf der Matraze auf dem Boden schlafen, weil es nur 4 schmalen double Betten und ein Sofa gibt
  – WiFi ist schwach in einigen Zimmern

  What could be improved: L’hôte a fourni des informations incorrectes avant l’arrivée et est resté totalement indisponible pour résoudre la situation pendant le séjour.
  La propreté laissait à désirer, et le rapport qualité-prix n’est clairement pas au rendez-vous.
  Séjour très décevant dans l’ensemble.
