Hotel Description
You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Strasbourg over the years, and Good Life à Strasbourg actually surprised me – in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Avenue Christian Pfister, which honestly isn’t where you’d expect to find a gem like this. Most people think they need to be right in the Petite France area or super close to the cathedral, but this spot is sort of perfectly positioned between the city center and the more residential Neudorf district. You’re literally a 15-minute tram ride from Place Kléber (the A line stops right nearby), but you get to escape that tourist bubble feeling at the end of the day.
The first thing that hit me when I walked in was how they’ve managed to nail that balance between modern comfort and local character – I mean, you can tell someone actually thought about the design instead of just ordering everything from the same hotel supply catalog. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feeling with local artwork that doesn’t scream “we bought this at a hotel art warehouse.” My room faced the quieter side of the building, which was perfect because Avenue Christian Pfister can get a bit busy during morning rush hour, but honestly, it dies down pretty quickly. The bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re being swallowed whole, and the bathroom… well, let’s just say they didn’t cheap out on the shower pressure, which is more than I can say for some places charging twice as much.
What really won me over though was the breakfast situation – they source a lot of their stuff locally, including these incredible pastries from what I’m pretty sure is a bakery somewhere in the Krutenau neighborhood (the croissants had that perfect flaky-but-not-crumbly texture that’s impossible to fake). The staff genuinely seems to know the city too, not just the obvious tourist spots. When I mentioned I was looking for a good place to grab dinner that wasn’t crawling with tour groups, the front desk guy pointed me toward Rue du Faubourg de Saverne – totally off my radar, but exactly what I was hoping to find. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area if you’re driving, but they’ve got a deal worked out with a nearby garage that makes it way less stressful than trying to navigate those narrow streets looking for a spot. I’d definitely come back, especially since that 9.2 rating isn’t just inflated review nonsense – this place actually delivers on being a solid, comfortable base for exploring Strasbourg without paying those premium location prices.

Vielen Dank Marie!
