The studio itself is… well, it’s cozy in the best way possible. I mean, it’s not going to win any space awards, but everything you need is there and it actually works. The kitchenette is small but functional – I managed to make decent coffee in the mornings and heat up some of those amazing pretzels from the bakery down the street. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re still close enough to walk into the city center. The Petite France area is maybe a 15-minute stroll, and honestly, that walk through the residential streets gives you a completely different feel for how locals actually live here. You’ll pass by little corner cafés that don’t even bother with English menus and apartment buildings where you can hear families having dinner – it’s that kind of authentic slice of Strasbourg life that you miss when you’re staying right in the tourist bubble.

The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need (not just what they think they want). There’s decent WiFi, the shower has proper water pressure, and – this might sound silly but it matters – the bed doesn’t creak every time you move. I’ve stayed in plenty of places where you feel like you’re bothering the neighbors just by existing. The check-in was straightforward too, none of that awkward key-passing dance you sometimes get with smaller places. Sure, it’s not fancy – you won’t find fluffy robes or a concierge desk – but that 8.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It delivers on what it promises without any pretense. If you’re the type who wants to experience Strasbourg like you’re actually living there for a few days, rather than just checking monuments off a list, this spot hits that sweet spot between authentic and comfortable.

  Cosy 2nd floor apartment. Very close to good public transport. Very alsacian interior. Read instructions carefully, they contain all necessary information. The handwritten welcome sign at the door was a nice touch.
  
  What could be improved: I was quite satisfied. Watch the step on the second landing, and doors binds a bit, but that's about it.
