Look, I’ll be straight with you about the General Suite – it’s one of those places that grows on you. When I first walked up to 2 Rue du Général Rapp, I was honestly expecting something a bit more… well, general, if you know what I mean. But here’s the thing about this spot – the location is absolutely killer. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Place Kléber, which means you can stumble back from dinner at one of those cozy winstubs without needing to figure out the tram system (though honestly, Strasbourg’s trams are pretty foolproof).

The building itself has that classic Alsatian charm – you know, the kind where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-maintained apartment rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. The suites are actually spacious, which is refreshing after staying in those shoebox Paris hotels. I mean, you can open your suitcase without having to close the bathroom door first. The kitchenette is basic but functional – perfect for grabbing groceries at the Monoprix down on Rue des Grandes Arcades and making coffee that doesn’t cost you eight euros. Speaking of which, the coffee situation in the room is decent, though you’ll want to venture out to Café Bretelles (about a five-minute walk) for the real deal.

What really surprised me was how quiet it stays at night, considering you’re right in the thick of things. Sure, you’ll hear some weekend revelers wandering back from the Krutenau district, but it’s not the kind of noise that’ll keep you up – more like gentle urban white noise. The staff is genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions. When I couldn’t figure out the heating system (those European radiators, am I right?), the front desk guy actually came up and showed me instead of just explaining over the phone. Parking is… well, it’s Strasbourg city center, so don’t expect miracles. There’s a garage nearby, but honestly, you’re better off leaving the car somewhere outside the center and taking the tram in. The beauty of staying here is that you can walk to pretty much everything – the cathedral is a pleasant ten-minute stroll, and you’re perfectly positioned to explore both the French and German sides of the city’s personality. It’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s solid, comfortable, and puts you exactly where you want to be without breaking the bank.

  What could be improved: Manque de matériel dans la cuisine: pas de liquide vaisselle, ustensiles limités
  Équipements rationnés: linge insuffisant (pile 4 serviettes et rien pour s'essuyer les mains?), 2 tabourets nous sommes 4, 2 duvets mais 1 housse etc.

  Lokacija stana i ljubaznost domacina koji je putem poruke ponudio pomoc u svakom smislu.
  
  What could be improved: Stan je bio prljav,prosto neznam kako opisati sve to. Jako smo razocarani pomalo i ljuti. Prosto razmisljam kako se zastititi i sta raditi u ovakvim situacijama. Najmanje sto smo zasluzili za dat novac je to da sve bude bezprekorno i cisto ali docekao nas je poprilicno prljav stan,posteljina kao da je neko sazvakao i ispljunuo a prekrivac za trecu osobu nije imao cak ni navlaku…. Steta mogao je to da bude jedan fin stancic samo neko treba da zasuce rukave i da cisti. I trebalo bi napomenuti da je stan zapravo u podrumu.

  Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet appartement très bien situé pour visiter Strasbourg.
  Très pratique et très propre.
  Produits d'hygiène et quelques condiments à disposition.
  Les explications du propriétaire étaient hyper claires et précises.
  Nous recommandons ce logement.
  Petit bémol . Le bruit de la clim côté chambre mais ce n'est pas de votre faute .

  Très joli petit studio bien aménagé, plus adéquat pour deux personnes que pour 4 mais pour un court séjour cela fait largement l'affaire. Literie confortable.
  
  What could be improved: Attention escalier pour descendre. L'appartement est semi enterré, fenêtre aux niveau de la rue mais l'appartement est très bien isolé et calme !
