You know what caught me off guard about this place on Rue Vauban? The moment you walk in, it’s like stepping into someone’s really cool friend’s apartment – if that friend happened to be obsessed with creative themes and had way too much fun designing escape room-style games. I mean, this isn’t your typical Strasbourg rental where you’re staring at generic IKEA furniture and wondering what to do with yourself.

The duplex setup actually works brilliantly here. Downstairs feels like the social hub where you’ll probably end up spending most of your time figuring out whatever puzzle or theme they’ve cooked up, while upstairs gives you that retreat space when you need to decompress. Honestly, the attention to detail in the theming is pretty impressive – and I say this as someone who’s stayed in plenty of “quirky” places that turned out to be more gimmick than substance. The games aren’t just thrown together either; they’re thoughtfully integrated into the space in a way that doesn’t feel forced or cheesy.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned between the old town charm and the more residential Strasbourg that tourists don’t always discover. Rue Vauban itself is quiet enough that you won’t have trams rumbling past your windows at 6 AM (trust me, that matters), but you’re still an easy walk to Place Kléber and all the cathedral action. The parking situation is actually manageable around here too, which – if you’ve ever tried to park near Grande Île – you’ll appreciate. What I really loved was how this spot lets you experience Strasbourg like you’re living there temporarily rather than just passing through. The whole experience feels intentional, from the thoughtful game elements to the way the space encourages you to slow down and actually engage with your surroundings instead of just using it as a crash pad between tourist sites. Plus, with a 9 rating, clearly other people are having the same “wait, this is actually special” moment I had.

  The location was excellent for us visiting family. We were very pleased that we were able to book secure parking. The hosts thought of everything, so much attention to detail in this quirky, fun, comfortable and warm apartment. The video explainers were very helpful in accessing the apartment and finding the parking garage.

  Love how the apartment is furnished and decorated. Everything was ready to use (including a filtered water!) and thought out. There are very useful guides available (online & prior to your arrival) to get you through everything you may encounter during your stay.
  The owners respond to messages quickly, and are genuinely interested in making your experience as seamless as possible.
  
  What could be improved: The options to move air around is limited to fans and doors. It was sufficient for the time we spent there, but can't imagine how it is like in the middle of a summer.
  A small and simple improvement regarding the access information (key for the apartment and the access to the parking spot) could be to put them in a single place. While everything is well documented, it doesn't help if you need to search through it.

  Impeccable et propre. Emplacement idéal station du tramway proche pour visiter Strasbourg et kehl en Allemagne.

  Todo! El diseño es demasiado lindo, todo está limpio, cada detella es encantador, nos sentimos como en casa, mi nena ya no quería salir de allí, porque era muy cómodo.. He estado en muchos muchos lugares, y este ha sido el mejor, realmente tienen que quedarse allí, es una experiencia única que nunca vamos a olvidar. Al reservar te envían todas las instrucciones con videos de como usar todo, la atención es muy buena. Y además de todo tienen parqueo y están cerca de la estación del tranvia, desde allí pueden ir a cualquier lugar! Se nota que el lugar lo diseñaron con mucha dedicación, felicito a los dueños!! Merecen más de 5 estrellas!!
