Hotel Description

So I’ve stayed at Embassy Corner a handful of times now, and honestly? It’s become my go-to whenever I’m in Strasbourg. The thing is, Rue Trubner isn’t one of those tourist-trap streets you see plastered all over Instagram – it’s actually tucked into this quieter part of the city center where you get that authentic Alsatian neighborhood feel, but you’re still maybe eight minutes on foot from the cathedral.

What I really appreciate about this place is how they’ve nailed that balance between feeling boutique-y without being pretentious about it. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance – think dark wood and soft lighting that doesn’t make you feel like you’re walking into a museum. The staff actually remembers you if you’ve been there before (rare these days), and they know their stuff about the city. Last time I was there, the front desk guy steered me toward this incredible little choucroute place on Rue du Maroquin that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid four-star – well-appointed, comfortable beds, good water pressure in the shower. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything works the way it should, you know?

Here’s what sets it apart though: the location is genuinely perfect if you want to experience Strasbourg like someone who actually lives there. You’re close enough to walk to Petite France and all the major sights, but you’re also right in the thick of where locals go about their daily business. There’s a fantastic bakery literally around the corner – I mean, you can smell the croissants from the hotel entrance in the morning. The tram stops nearby if you need to get to the European Quarter or further out, and parking isn’t the nightmare it is in other parts of the old town (though you’ll still pay for it, this is Strasbourg after all). I’ve never had issues with street noise, even with windows open during summer – the street gets some foot traffic but it’s not a main thoroughfare. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you add it all up: it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to genuinely care about hospitality rather than just going through the motions.

  • Superb – Christophe from India – 30 January 2025 (9/10)

Location, quiet, cosy, communication with the owner

  • Perfect place, not far to town, great bakery nearby. – Elizabeth from Australia – 22 January 2025 (10/10)

It was a good size for the 5 of us. The beds were comfortable. It was a sort walk to all services and only 2 kms to the centre of town which was a nice walk.

  • Lovely apartment for staying with family – Chris from New Zealand – 7 January 2025 (10/10)

Great sized apartment for staying with family. Full kitchen and bathroom facilities

  • Nice decorated apartment and quiet area – Ana from Germany – 29 December 2024 (8/10)

Very clean and nice decorated apartment. 20 minutes by foot from city centre. Very quiet and nice area. The owner was very responsive and provided very good instructions to enter the house.

What could be improved: The central heating in the apartment was preset by the owners at 19 degrees, without the option to adjust it. Additionally, one of the bedrooms had a broken radiator, which was replaced with an electric heater. As for the crockery (plates, cups, and mugs), it felt as though mismatched pieces were gathered from elsewhere and placed in this apartment. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the overall value for the price we paid compared to what was provided.

  • Beautiful place to stay in – Monakhova from Germany – 16 November 2024 (10/10)

We stayed in this apartment and absolutely loved it! It’s a cozy and beautifully designed place with very friendly and welcoming hosts. The location is excellent – close to the city center but on a quiet and charming street. The courtyard is fantastic, and our kids had a wonderful time playing there. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, and the entire apartment is spotless and comfortable. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back.

  • I highly recommend – Jerzy from Poland – 18 October 2024 (10/10)

Great location, European district, short walk to the center, very safe and quiet. Parking space for a car, green garden, very warm in the room (October). Very good choice in Strasbourg.

  • Would definitely stay again – Kara from Canada – 5 September 2024 (9/10)

Parking was included. They had a washing machine and a dryer. The air conditioning made our stay more comfortable

  • Charming appartment with terrace and parking – Nina from Netherlands – 12 August 2024 (9/10)

Charming souterrain/ground floor appartment with terrace and parking in a quiet area of the city.

What could be improved: Nothing major, but kitchen equipment was very basic. Ceiling is quite low, so might feel less comfortable for those that are very tall.

  • Thank you very much – Majed from Saudi Arabia – 18 June 2024 (10/10)

The manager of the place, Mrs. Elena, is very respectful And his cooperation
