Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to this place on Rue de Molsheim – the street’s pretty quiet and residential, nothing flashy about it. But you know what? That’s actually part of what makes this little gem work so well. The Cosy family spa (yes, they spell it the British way) sits in this perfect sweet spot where you’re genuinely in Strasbourg’s center but tucked away from the tourist chaos around the cathedral.

The family-run vibe hits you immediately – I mean, the owners actually remember your name by day two, which is refreshing after staying at those cookie-cutter chain places. The spa facilities are honestly the star here, and I get why families love it. There’s something really nice about being able to unwind in the sauna after dragging kids around Petite France all day, though fair warning – it can get busy around 7 PM when everyone has the same idea. The rooms have that lived-in comfort that feels more like staying at a well-appointed relative’s house than a hotel. Nothing’s trying too hard to impress, but everything just… works. The beds are proper comfortable (none of that rock-hard European mattress nonsense), and the bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not doing some weird dance around your suitcase.

Location-wise, you’re about a 10-minute walk to the cathedral – I timed it because I’m neurotic like that – and there’s this little bakery called Maison Georges just around the corner that does incredible pain au chocolat. The tram stop at Homme de Fer is close enough that you can easily get to the European Parliament if that’s your thing, or hop over to the German side for some duty-free shopping. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (street parking fills up fast), but the hotel can sort you out with a spot if you ask when booking. One thing I really appreciated – it’s on a side street, so you don’t get the noise from the main drags, but you’re close enough to everything that matters. The 9-star rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on exactly what it promises, and the personal touches really add up.

  Very spacious apartment in a quiet location. Spa and sauna were a nice thing to have as we have been travelling for 10 weeks now. Host was great and was super helpful and great with communication.

  The apartment was really nice, clean, and spacious with a sauna and jacuzzi. We didn't use the sauna, but we did use the jacuzzi, and it was great. The location is also good in a walking distance from the centre. The host was very friendly and helpful.

  Idéalement situé, pas besoin de voiture ni de transport en commun. L'emplacement parking gratuit est un plus dans la location. Très propre et cosy. Quel plaisir le jacuzzi mis a disposition par nos hôtes et en rentrant d'une longue balade. Je n'ai pas essayé le hammam donc aucun avis. La petite terrasse est un plus pour les fumeurs et pour prendre l'apéro au calme. Je recommande vivement. Le voisinage est très sympathique et discret. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

  What could be improved: Jammer dat er maar 1 parkeerplek was voor ons, we waren met 2 auto's. Als je met zijn 6en bent dan verwacht je 2 auto's. 1 moest aan de straat maar gelukkig wel gratis i.v.m. 1 mei.
