Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you – this little apartment on rue de Mutizig isn’t going to win any design awards, but honestly? That’s kind of why I love it. The moment you walk up those typical Strasbourg stairs (and yes, there are stairs), you get this immediate sense that you’re staying somewhere real, not some sterile hotel chain. The 48 square meters feel surprisingly spacious, actually – I mean, French apartments have this knack for making every centimeter count. What really sold me was stepping onto that small balcony in the morning with my coffee and realizing I could hear the trams rumbling by on their way to the city center. There’s something oddly comforting about that urban soundtrack, you know?
The location is where this place really shines, though the name basically gives away the whole story (leave it to the French to put the entire selling pitch in the title). You’re literally eight minutes on foot to the main train station – I timed it because I’m neurotic about catching trains – and maybe twelve to Place Kléber if you don’t get distracted by the bakeries along the way. The Modern Art Museum is right there too, which I discovered completely by accident on my second day when I took a wrong turn looking for a pharmacy. The apartment itself has that lived-in feeling that makes you settle in immediately; the WiFi actually works (miracle of miracles), and while the kitchen is compact, it’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Monoprix down the street instead of eating out every meal. The shower pressure is decent – not amazing, but decent – and the bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a mattress all night.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re practically in the heart of everything. Sure, you’ll hear the occasional late tram or some students wandering back from the bars near Place Saint-Étienne, but it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you up. The host was refreshingly normal too – met me right on time, showed me where everything was without hovering, and actually gave me some solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the touristy spots everyone mentions. For four people, you’re not going to be sprawling out like you’re in some luxury suite, but there’s enough space that you won’t be stepping on each other constantly. I’d definitely stay here again, especially considering the price point and that 8.6 rating actually feels about right – it’s not perfect, but it nails all the important stuff and has that authentic Strasbourg neighborhood vibe that makes you feel like you’re getting a real taste of the city rather than just passing through it.

This apartment is close to the train station with 10-12 mins walking distance. It's just renovated so everything is new and clean. There're sufficient stuffs in kitchen for cooking, and new washing machine for laundry. I'd definitely recommend family for stay as it's quite suitable for family of 3-4 people.
