You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Chez Lady Mag on Avenue de Colmar – honestly, the name alone had me curious. But this little three-star gem actually surprised me in all the right ways. The building sits on this busy avenue that connects you straight into Strasbourg’s heart, and while you might think that means traffic noise, the rooms are surprisingly quiet (well, the ones facing the back courtyard anyway).

What really sold me on this place is how Lady Mag – and yes, that’s apparently the owner’s nickname – has thought through all those little things that drive you crazy when you’re traveling. The parking situation alone is worth mentioning because, I mean, finding a spot in Strasbourg can be a nightmare, especially around the cathedral area. Here you’ve got your own space sorted, no circling blocks or feeding meters every two hours. The tram stop is maybe a five-minute walk, which gets you to Place Kléber in no time, but honestly the walk into the old town isn’t bad either if you’re feeling energetic – maybe twenty minutes through some pretty decent neighborhoods.

The rooms themselves have this comfortable, lived-in feeling without being shabby. Everything’s clean and functional, the beds are actually comfortable (not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes get), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. I particularly liked the little touches – decent lighting for reading, outlets where you need them, and the shower pressure is solid. The breakfast isn’t fancy, but it’s proper – good coffee, fresh bread, local jams. Lady Mag often pops by in the mornings to chat with guests, and she’s got great recommendations for places the tour groups don’t hit. She steered me toward this incredible tarte flambée spot just off Rue des Tonneliers that I never would’ve found otherwise. The whole operation feels personal in a way that’s getting harder to find – like staying with a friend who happens to run a really well-organized guesthouse. It’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re more interested in exploring Strasbourg than hanging around your hotel room.

  Appartement agréable, bien équipé, propre et joliment décoré ou l’on se sent vraiment bien. L ‘accès au centre est très facile grâce au tram en bas de l’immeuble. Je recommande. Et je reviendrai volontiers si futur passage sur Strasbourg. Merci .

  Erg licht en smaakvol ingericht appartement met leuk balkon en met alle faciliteiten die we nodig hadden, incl. parkeergarage!! Tegenover het gebouw de tram die je binnen 10 minuten naar het centrum van Strasbourg brengt. Kortom, een toplocatie!!! Daarnaast fijne communicatie met contact persoon en eigenaar.

  Wir verbrachten ein verlängertes 1. Mai Wochenende in Straßburg.
  Die Wohnung ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet. Für die Senseo Maschine sind Pads vorhanden, auch Gewürze und andere nützliche Dinge.
  Das Auto konnte in der Tiefgarage kostenfrei abgestellt werden und der Aufzug brachte uns bis vor die Wohnungstür. Unsere Fahrräder fanden auch noch Platz in der Parkbucht.
  
  Der Balkon ist groß und ist mit einem Esstisch mit 4 Stühlen und einer Couchsitzecke ausgestattet. Obwohl die Wohnung an einer großen Straße liegt, hört man keinen Verkehr, da die Wohnung nach hinten raus geht.
  Die große Straße führt in ca 2km direkt ins Zentrum, auch eine Straßenbahn ist vorhanden.
  Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

  Mieszkanie urządzone estetycznie. Wspaniała lokalizacja. Bliskość przystanku tramwajowego. Komunikacja tramwajowa zabezpieczała nam swobodę dotarcia do wszystkich interesujących nas miejsc /w tym do szpitala, gdzie żona przechodziła zaplanowany wcześniej zabieg/. Wspaniały balkon na którym spożywaliśmy niektóre posiłki. Zapewnione miejsce parkingowe w hali garażowej /samochodu w ogóle nie wykorzystywaliśmy – korzystaliśmy z komunikacji miejskiej i z Ubera/. Doskonały kontakt z właścicielką, starającą się o doskonalenie warunków. Polecamy to miejsce. W przypadku ponownego przyjazdu do Strasbourga chętnie byśmy się tu zatrzymali po raz kolejny.
