Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about BOMA easy living hotel? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it really does feel effortless in that way good hotels should but rarely do. I’ve walked past this spot on Rue du Vingt-Deux Novembre probably a dozen times (it’s literally two blocks from the tram stop at Homme de Fer), but honestly never paid much attention until I needed a place to crash for a long weekend in Strasbourg.

The thing about this street is it’s perfectly positioned – you’re close enough to hear the cathedral bells in the morning, which sounds romantic until you realize they start pretty early, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually think. The building itself has that clean, contemporary look that doesn’t try too hard to be Alsatian, which I actually appreciated. Sometimes you want timber frames and flower boxes, sometimes you just want a really good shower and decent wifi, you know? The lobby has this understated vibe with lots of natural light, and check-in was refreshingly quick – the staff switched between French, German, and English without missing a beat, which makes sense given how international this city is.

What really sold me though was the attention to small stuff. The rooms have these blackout curtains that actually work (I’m looking at you, every other hotel I’ve stayed at), and the beds are firm without being punishing. There’s something to be said for a place that gets the basics absolutely right before worrying about fancy extras. The breakfast room overlooks a quiet courtyard, and I mean quiet – even during the busy summer months when every other hotel in the center sounds like a construction site. You can walk to Petite France in about ten minutes, or hit the covered bridges, but honestly some mornings I just stayed put with coffee because it felt so… well, easy. The whole area comes alive around 9 AM when locals start heading to work and the bakeries get busy, but there’s this sweet spot around 7 AM when it’s just you and the street sweepers. I get why this place has such solid ratings – it’s not trying to be the flashiest option in Strasbourg, it’s just genuinely good at being a hotel.

  Great location. Excellent secure bicycle storage. Very quiet rooms. Excellent air conditioning. The lobby is huge with food and drink. The staff were very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The rooms are quite dark without enough lighting. We would have liked a closet kr drawers for storage (open shelves, so your belongings are on display)

  The hotel is situated only a few minutes walking distance from Strasbourg train station as well as the center of the city. When we arrived early, they had an easy to use and safe place to store the luggage. The room was very nice – looked like all new renovations even better than we expected! ps everything in the mini fridge is complimentary too. They also accommodated us checking out a bit later – I'm very happy with this stay!

  Absolutely loved that the pillows were Tempurpedic. Best pillows on our whole 6 week trip. We were in 8 different hotels in Europe, and we decided the bed and pillows were #1 !
  Also enjoyed having lunch and a glass of wine there. Great location.
  
  What could be improved: Everything was great. Only thing was when sitting up in bed it would slide away from the headboard and create a gap. This would be easily remedied.

  The location is quite central.
  The hotel is modern, colorful and comfortable, despite the rooms are quite small.
  The rooms at higher floors are quiet.
  
  What could be improved: The staff was not the best. Not giving any information if not explicitly asked, seldom greeting or smiling when guests passed by.
  The other guest in the other room I booked reported that the level of cleaning in their room was not great.
  The breakfast was ok, but a little bit unorganized, with many things missing all the time.
