I stayed here last spring when I was exploring the Route des Romains area, which is honestly one of those neighborhoods that feels properly Strasbourg without all the tourist chaos you get around the cathedral.

The apartment sits in this quiet residential stretch where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of tour buses. The view they’re talking about? It’s legit – you get this lovely sweep across the city that includes glimpses of the cathedral spires without being right in the thick of things. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk into the old town (maybe 20 minutes on foot, or hop the tram), but far enough out that you feel like you’re living there rather than just visiting. The whole setup feels more like crashing at a friend’s place than staying in typical hotel accommodation. There’s actual kitchen space where you can make proper coffee in the morning – and trust me, after a few days of tourist-trap café prices, you’ll appreciate that. The comfort part is real too; they’ve got this down-to-earth approach where everything just works without being fancy about it.
