It’s tucked away on Rue Erckmann-Chatrian – and if you’re wondering, yes, that’s named after those 19th-century writers who nobody really talks about anymore – but the location is actually pretty brilliant. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the European Parliament (which, let’s be real, looks way more impressive lit up at night), and the Parc de l’Orangerie is right there when you need to escape all those cobblestones.

The thing about this hotel is it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a solid 3-star place with a 7.2 rating, which in Strasbourg terms means you’re getting decent value without the tourist trap markup you’d find closer to the cathedral. I mean, the rooms aren’t going to win any design awards, but they’re clean and the beds are actually comfortable – not always a given in European city hotels, trust me. The staff genuinely seems to care, which you notice in little ways like remembering your breakfast preferences or giving you actual useful directions instead of just pointing vaguely toward the city center. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Strasbourg), but there’s usually street parking nearby if you’re patient, and the hotel folks know which spots turn into loading zones during the day.

What I really appreciate is how this place sits in a proper neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel district. There’s a decent boulangerie two blocks down where locals actually queue up for their morning bread, and if you’re into that whole European breakfast thing, well, you’re sorted. The area gets pleasantly quiet in the evenings, especially compared to the chaos around Petite France where all the tour groups congregate. Honestly, staying here feels like you’re getting a glimpse of how Strasbourg actually functions when it’s not performing for visitors. The price point makes sense too – you’re not paying premium rates for location, but you’re also not stuck way out in some business district wondering why you bothered coming to Alsace in the first place.

  I liked the location and it being on the ground floor. I liked the bedroom too and the lounge that were more spacious than others I had been to in the past.
  
  What could be improved: There was an egg on the kitchen top, the dishwasher had two unclean glasses inside (which I left) and some cleaning products were left sparsely around, as if someone had hastily cleaned without tiding up.

  What could be improved: the beds! the platform for communicsting sophisticated and at the end the wifi in the apart didn’t work… and we were supposed to send photo for the checking process! you phone to the company they couldn’t hear me because of the wifi..! ridiculous. a lit of things broken as the door of the bathroom…

  What could be improved: Il n'y'a pas de couverture sauf une seule couette et j'ai demandé un lit bébé 2 fois mais ils ne me donnent pas du coup j'étais obligé de mettre mon bébé à côté de moi sur le lit et j'ai mis des chaises à côté pour qu'elle ne tombe pas du lit.

  What could be improved: Vaisselle pas conforme pour cuisiner, mais lorsque nous l'avons signalé, réponse rapide avec remerciements pour rectifier pour les suivants.

  Agréable attention que d'avoir des dosettes pour le 1er jour.

  What could be improved: Le manque d'insonorisation avec le voisinage et l'extérieur.
  Penser à refaire les joints de la porte de douche, car la salle de bains est vide trempée!!

  Appartement dans un quartier très calme.
  Grande chambre et canapé lit confortable dans le salon.
  Bien équipé en vaisselle.
  
  What could be improved: La télécommande du volet électrique était cassée dans la chambre. Le volet est donc resté fermé tout notre séjour.
  L’appartement était globalement propre mais il y avait des résidus (de tisane ?) dans la bouilloire et qui devaient être là depuis longtemps ! Couvercle de la bouilloire cassée.
  Une de nos serviettes avait d’énormes trous.
  La porte de la salle de bain très difficile à fermer.
  Sac de rangement des draps du canapé lit déchiré

  L'emplacement, la literie, la propreté.
  Le système de réservation avec un site dédié compilant toutes les informations pour prendre son logement.
  
  What could be improved: -Le volet du salon qui ne marchait pas… alors qu'on est au rez-de-chaussée.
  
  -Un sejour difficile car une chaleur trop importante : le chauffage marchait même éteint, mais impossible de laisser la fenêtre ouverte avec le volet qui ne marchait pas, je rappelle qu'on est au rez-de-chaussée.
  
  – la lumière trop faible dans le séjour (il suffit de changer l'ampoule)
  
  Conclusion: ce sont peut-être des problèmes ponctuels ou pas de chance, mais cela n'avait pas été vu avant et à 140 euros la nuit, on peut être un peu exigeant.
