Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of aparthotels across Europe, and Apparteo Strasbourg honestly surprised me in the best way. The building itself sits on Rue de l’Elbe – which, if you know Strasbourg at all, puts you in this perfectly residential pocket where actual locals live, not just tourists stumbling between the cathedral and Petite France with their rolling suitcases.

The first thing that hit me walking in was how refreshingly un-hotelish it felt. The lobby’s got this clean, almost Scandinavian vibe without being cold, and the staff actually seemed to remember my name after day one (which, you know, doesn’t always happen at three-star places). My studio apartment – because that’s really what these are, proper apartments – had this little kitchenette that actually worked. I mean, I could make real coffee in the morning instead of that weird packet stuff, and there was enough counter space to spread out some cheese and bread from the Saturday market at Place du Marché aux Poissons. The bathroom was compact but thoughtfully designed, with one of those rainfall showerheads that made the morning routine feel less rushed.

What I really appreciated was the neighborhood itself – you’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk from the historic center, but you get to cut through these tree-lined streets where you’ll pass the local boulangerie (the one on Rue de la Krutenau makes incredible pain au chocolat, by the way) and see kids heading to school instead of tour groups. The tram’s right there too, so getting to the European Parliament or even over to Germany is dead simple. Honestly, the location struck that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Strasbourg rather than just visiting it. The neighborhood gets properly quiet after 9 PM – none of that late-night bar noise you get closer to Place Kléber – which meant I actually slept well. And parking? Well, it’s street parking like everywhere in European cities, but the residential streets mean you’re not competing with day-trippers for spots.

The 7.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s solidly good without trying to be something it’s not. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly for video calls (I was there for work), housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive, and check-in was smooth even when I arrived later than expected. I mean, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or concierge services, but if you want a clean, comfortable base where you can actually settle in for a few days and feel like a temporary local rather than a hotel guest, Apparteo gets it right. Plus, you’ll save money eating some meals in your room instead of dining out every night – which in Strasbourg’s restaurant scene, honestly gives you more flexibility to splurge on the places that are really worth it.

Reviews

  • Good – Erin from United Kingdom – 20 June 2025 (7/10)

Clean, spacious, felt safe, close to transport links and small shop and eateries

What could be improved: No reception for any issues during my stay, no AC and the room became very hot even with the window open and blinds shut. The room next to me had loud music and shouting from 11pm-6am on the first night of my stay keeping me awake throughout the entire night, which was irritating considering the booking stated no loud nocturnal noises or parties

  • It was excellent. – Nezir from Turkey – 25 January 2025 (8/10)

    Location and clean.

What could be improved: No staff around.

  • We just stay only one night. They have everything and good enough for only to sleep. It’s clean and a bit far from cente – Phatpitchaya from Netherlands – 27 May 2025 (7/10)

A little bit far from center

  • sufficient but not good. – Semih from Turkey – 10 December 2024 (6/10)

Clean bed sheets, proper bed. clean environment.
transportation to place is good. but not excellent.

What could be improved: staff replies very late.
bathroom is very interesting, no ground border or bath sink. just plain surface. if you use water too much, all ground will be wet in bathroom.
utilities are very limited, for ecample only one fork, one spoon, one knife is available! i will not take away them, please be relaxed.
trash wasn’t emptied properly- many small flies goes around. (may be this one hit only me.)
and last but not least- guides in room were in french. yes, french is beautiful language but not too common. please pay attention in english, (in Turkish)ya da herkes kendi dilini kullansin, mesela Türkçe gibi.

  • Good – Ipek from Germany – 23 June 2025 (7/10)

Location is really good. You can walk everywhere or you can use tram to reach another place in city.

What could be improved: Neighbourhood is so loud. I can't sleep because of this and also I warn who wants to visit Strasbourg in warm weather (like 35C) This place is not available for that kind of weather. I couldn't sleep, there isn't air conditioner. And also the room was really hot inside. And you can't do anything to make cooler. I guess it'd better stay in this place when the weather is not so hot.

  • Pleasant – İlkay from Turkey – 14 April 2025 (6/10)

Location was good. Easy acces to important areas. There are shopping center and good restaurants nearby.

What could be improved: – No internet connection,
    – Instructions are French,
    – Room temperature was always low during mornings. (Most probably air conditioner has time setting)
    – Room cleaning was little bit more than avarage,
    – There was a bad smell in the bathroom.

  • Pleasant – Sergey from Spain – 31 December 2024 (6/10)

What could be improved: The bed and pillows in the room are so uncomfortable that they make for a terrible night's sleep.

  • Exceptional – Ahmed from Italy – 17 June 2025 (10/10)

    Every thing was perfect

  • Exceptional – Star from Spain – 9 January 2025 (10/10)

Warm enough and clean, also very calm area

What could be improved: Need to walk till center about 20min

  • Very good – Servin from France – 26 June 2025 (8/10)

    tres propre et bien situé

What could be improved: au vu des fortes chaleurs, apparteo aurait pu prendre soin de fermer les volets pour abaisser la température deja tres haute en plein soleil.
