Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Appartements de la Pléiade? The name makes it sound way fancier than it actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. This place sits right on Rue des Pucelles, which honestly sounds sketchy if you don’t know Strasbourg, but it’s actually this quiet little street that puts you smack in the middle of everything without the tourist chaos. I’m talking a genuine two-minute walk to Place Kléber, maybe five to the cathedral if you don’t get distracted by all the half-timbered houses along the way.
The apartments themselves feel lived-in rather than hotel-sterile, which was exactly what I needed after bouncing between generic chain hotels. Each unit’s got this sort of understated elegance – think clean lines, decent kitchenettes (actually functional, not just for show), and windows that actually open properly. The beds are honestly pretty great, and I say this as someone who usually complains about European mattresses being too firm. What really sold me was the little details nobody mentions in official descriptions – like how the shower pressure is surprisingly solid, or how the Wi-Fi actually reaches every corner of the apartment. I mean, you’d think that’s basic stuff, but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up.
Here’s the thing about the location that makes it work so well – you’re close enough to hear the trams rumbling by on Avenue des Vosges, but far enough that street noise won’t keep you up. The Petite France area is maybe a ten-minute stroll, and there’s this excellent little boulangerie called Julien just around the corner that locals actually use (you’ll know because there’s always a line of people chatting in Alsatian dialect at 7 AM). Parking can be tricky – well, it’s Strasbourg, so parking’s always tricky – but there are a few spots nearby if you’re patient, or just embrace the tram system like everyone else does. The 8.2 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it delivers on what matters. The staff actually seems to care about helping rather than just checking boxes, and honestly, that goes a long way when you’re trying to figure out where to find decent choucroute or which Christmas market stalls are worth your time. If you want something that feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment in Strasbourg rather than staying in a hotel, this place nails that vibe perfectly.

Very good – Kasidis from Thailand – 25 April 2025 (8/10)
We faced the problem with door lock of bathroom. But the staff: Mrs. Zelia was very helpful.
Great value for money for work, great location for tourism. – Eric from Belgium – 24 October 2024 (8/10)
Easy to reach from the tram, every amenity you need are available, quiet location, clean and spacious enough for a couple, great water pressure and ample supply of hot water.
Those who gripe about the staircases should understand: this is Strasbourg. If you don’t like narrow and old staircases, go somewhere else…
What could be improved: Two little things:
– a full body mirror could be useful, when you have to check your outfit or tie a necktie.
– if you’re left-handed and use a manual shaver, the mirror position in the bathroom is awkward, mind the radiator if you’ve started it. It burns.Lovely – Leonie from Australia – 10 August 2024 (7/10)

What could be improved: furniture in the lounge area was uncomfortable and not suitable for sitting around and chilling . Also there should have been a fan available considering the high temperatures.Good – Eva from Greece – 30 November 2024 (7/10)
Great location, just 5 minutes from Cathedral Square. Stylish, with kitchen.
What could be improved: The apartment was not very clean, especially the bathroom. We didn't managed to open the TV as well. It didn't work. The baby cot we asked for was not set up, it was in a bag. We had to set it up. The towels weren't very clean, plus a little damaged.Superb – Verma from India – 13 June 2024 (9/10)
