You know what caught me off guard about Appartement Strasbourg Centre? The location is actually perfect without feeling touristy – and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s right on Boulevard Clemenceau, which honestly sounds fancier than it needs to, but you’re basically a five-minute walk from Place Kléber and all the main action without dealing with the crowds stumbling back from the Christmas markets at midnight (trust me, that’s a thing here).

The apartments themselves feel more like staying in someone’s well-appointed spare place than a typical hotel room. I appreciated that – there’s something refreshing about having actual counter space and a proper coffee setup instead of those tiny hotel pods that barely make espresso. The building has that solid European feel, not too modern but updated enough that everything actually works. What I really liked was how quiet it stays, even though you’re right in the center. The windows do their job, which matters because Boulevard Clemenceau can get busy during the day with all the trams and buses heading toward the European Quarter.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re positioned perfectly for both the touristy stuff and the real Strasbourg. Walk one direction and you hit the cathedral and Petite France (which, let’s be honest, you have to see even if it’s packed with selfie sticks). Walk the other way and you’re in the newer parts where locals actually hang out. The Saturday market at Place du Marché aux Poissons is maybe ten minutes on foot, and that’s where you’ll find the good bread and cheese that’ll make your apartment breakfast situation much more interesting. I also found myself using the tram a lot – the Homme de Fer stop is super close, and from there you can get anywhere in the city without thinking about it. Parking can be tricky around here if you’re driving, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you probably won’t need a car anyway. The whole city center is walkable, and the tram system actually makes sense (unlike some European cities I could mention). Check-in was smooth enough – they’re pretty flexible with timing, which helped since my train from Paris got delayed. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but it nails what it’s going for: a comfortable, well-located base that feels more like home than a hotel room.

  The apartment is newly furnished and was clean. There is a bus station right outside of the apartment, and walking distance to few attractions. The neighbourhood was quiet, which was an ideal place for individuals that looking for a relaxing holiday.

  The apartment was clean, spacious, warm (as it was a bit chilly when we stayed in October) and in a good location just a 10-15 minute walk to the Grand Ile.
  Communication with the host via the Booking.com app (in our rather limited French) was generally good both before and during the trip. The WiFi didn't work for the duration of 3-night stay but the host did communicate with us over trying to get the issue fixed. They recommended an excellent local restaurant which was a lifesaver when we arrived later than expected on our first night.
  
  What could be improved: The WIFI not working.
  The arrangement around collecting the key was a bit stressful because our train got in over an hour late.
  It also would have been nice for some water and milk to have been left in the fridge on the first night – particularly as someone was actually there to meet us.

  sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet, gute Kommunikation, hervorragendes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Ein früherer Check-in war möglich, was super war.
  
  What could be improved: Das Haus liegt an einer Straße mit viel Verkehr. Das eine Schlafzimmer geht nach hinten raus und ist absolut ruhig. Das andere zur Straße, bei offenem Fenster schlafen nicht möglich.

  Des volets roulants qui fonctionnent même dans le salon surtout quand quelqu’un y dort.
  La propreté et le confort du canapé lit.
  L’équipement de la cuisine… un peu court.
  Un store occultant pour la porte intérieur des pièces, car tout le monde pâtît de la lumière des autres pièces.
