The space actually lives up to that “spacieux” promise, which is refreshing because, let’s be real, European vacation rentals can be pretty optimistic with their descriptions.

What really won me over was how the place strikes this perfect balance between feeling like a proper home and being close enough to everything that matters. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the cathedral (though honestly, who’s counting when you’re wandering through those gorgeous Petite France streets), and there’s this little bakery just down the avenue that does incredible pain au chocolat – I mean, the kind that makes you understand why French people are so particular about their pastries. The apartment itself has these high ceilings that make everything feel airy, and the kitchen is actually functional, not just decorative like some places. I spent a couple mornings making coffee and planning the day from the dining table, watching locals head off to work while I was still in vacation mode.

You know what I really appreciated? The neighborhood feels genuinely lived-in rather than touristy. There’s a small grocery store within walking distance (Super U, I think?), and the tram line isn’t far if you want to venture further out – though honestly, most of what you’ll want to see in Strasbourg is walkable from here. The building itself is quiet; I was a bit worried about street noise since it’s on a main avenue, but the windows do their job well. Check-in was straightforward too, none of that awkward waiting around wondering if you’re at the right place. The host clearly knows what they’re doing – everything from wifi passwords to local restaurant recommendations was sorted without having to ask. It’s the kind of place where you quickly settle in and start planning your next visit to Strasbourg before you’ve even left.

  Hay muy buena calefacción y los edredones son muy calentitos. Acceso fácil.
  
  What could be improved: Hay un solo baño y el retrete muy pequeño. El agua de la ducha se sale al ducharse por lo que hay que ducharse en la bañera y no hay cortina ni mampara. No hay sartenes en la cocina. Dejan poco papel higiénico (1 rollo para 4 días ). Comunicación un poco complicada con el casero. El ascensor no llega al piso exacto por lo que hay que subir o bajar escaleras.

  De ligging, de ruimte in het appartement, ruime plaatsen alle slaapkamer, living, eetkamer en keuken waren perfect.
  Badkamer en toilet wat aan de kleinere kant maar ruim genoeg om volledig functioneel te zijn. Perfect.
  
  What could be improved: Ik had precies de juiste verdieping ergens gemist. We hebben even moeten zoeken maar snel gevonden. Voor de rest viel er niets tegen. Je hebt totaal geen last van de buren. Top locatie, misschien aan de dure kant maar het is natuurlijk kerst periode.
