So I stayed at this apartment on Rue de Belfort in Neudorf, and honestly? It’s one of those places that surprises you. The name says “spacieux” and they’re not kidding around – you walk in and there’s actually room to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your suitcase. I mean, after bouncing between cramped European hotel rooms, having space to breathe feels like luxury.

The Neudorf neighborhood is interesting because it’s not where tourists usually end up, which is actually perfect if you ask me. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the cathedral and all that medieval charm, but you’re living where actual Strasbourg residents do their grocery shopping and grab coffee. There’s this great little bakery just down the street – I kept walking past it every morning and the smell of fresh croissants basically dragged me in. The tram line is super close too, so getting into the city center or out to the European Parliament area is dead simple. Actually, I found myself using the tram more than walking because, well, why not?

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Rue de Belfort isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you’re not dealing with traffic noise, but you’re also not stuck in some dead zone where finding dinner becomes an expedition. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile – there’s proper kitchen equipment (not just a hot plate and prayer), decent WiFi that actually works for video calls, and the kind of shower pressure that makes you want to high-five whoever installed the plumbing. The whole setup runs more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which some people love and others find weird – depends what you’re after, I guess.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, though you’ll want to coordinate timing since it’s not like a hotel desk that’s always staffed. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area – street parking exists but fills up, so maybe worth asking about options ahead of time if you’re driving. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works properly and the location gives you that nice balance of being in a real neighborhood while still being connected to tourist central. Plus, honestly, having actual space to live a little instead of just crash makes a difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights.

  Location is great, in a nice neighbourhood, possible to walk from the city centre, and there is the tram nearby too.
  The apartment is very well equipped, modern, spacious.

  What could be improved: Leider kein privater Parkplatz, sehr hohe Parkgebühr in den Straßen an der Wohnung. Auch keine Info in der Wohnung, wo man am besten das Auto abstellen kann. Supermarkt und Bäcker mindestens 15 Minuten von der Wohnung entfernt.

  Este un apartament minimalist, dotat cam cu tot ce ai nevoie. Este poziționat într-o parte foarte buna a orașului. Este de asemenea foarte spațios și potrivit pentru grupuri de oameni.

  Мястото е супер. Просторно. Близо до центъра. Близо е и до спирка на градския транспорт. Тихо е. Има две тоалетни, което за големи групи е голям плюс. Като минус мога да посоча ниските и меки възглавници. Субективно е, но за хора, които не могат така ще е малко неудобно. Другото е стъпалата към последния етаж, малко опасни са, но отново е въпрос на лично усещане. Комуникацията с хоста беше безупречна! Пак бихме избрали този апартамент!
