So I stumbled across Appartement Mozart on route de Schirmeck – honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the location at first since it’s not right in Strasbourg’s picture-perfect center. But you know what? Sometimes being a bit off the beaten path works in your favor. This 4-star spot sits in a quieter residential area where you actually get some peace after trudging around the cathedral and petite France all day.

The apartment-style setup is what really won me over. I mean, having a proper kitchen when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights – that’s gold. Especially when you can walk five minutes to the local boulangerie and grab fresh croissants, or hit up the small Monoprix nearby for groceries without paying hotel minibar prices. The rooms have this understated elegance that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than some sterile hotel chain. The furnishings are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places miss this basic requirement), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase.

What surprised me was how easy it is to get into the city center from here – the tram connections are pretty solid, though I’ll be honest, having a car makes things simpler if you’re planning day trips to the Vosges mountains or wine villages. The neighborhood itself has this authentic Alsatian vibe without the tourist crowds. You’ll hear more French and Alsatian dialect than English, which I actually loved. There’s a decent bistro about a ten-minute walk away where locals actually eat (always a good sign), and the morning sounds are more birds chirping than tour buses rumbling. The 8.7 rating makes sense once you settle in – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works the way it should. The beds are genuinely comfortable, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the shower has proper water pressure. Small victories, but they matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a week. If you’re the type who needs to be stumbling-distance from every major sight, this might not be your spot. But if you want a solid base with some breathing room and don’t mind a short tram ride to get to the touristy bits, Mozart delivers without the premium location markup.

  EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!!!
  So much space for the whole group to enjoy. 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 1 wc, huge livingroom & kitchen. All things needed to make for a comfortable stay. Cleaning supplies too.
  Amazing apartment, very accommodating, easy to communicate with. Picking up keys from off-site hotel was a breeze, they were very nice and gave more info on the area in addition to the area information found at the apartment. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone staying in the Strausbourg area with or without a large group. Thank you!!!

  A big apartment that fits easily 10 people all in their own beds. Big couch in the main area. 3 full, spacious bathrooms. Separate heating system in every room. 3 bedrooms together on the one side of the apartment and two other on the other side which was amazing for a big group of people. Big windows for ventilation. Big fully equipped kitchen with pans, coffee machine, oven , full cutlery set and every thing anyone could want in a rental house. Free Parking spot with easy access to the apartment. Just outside there is a bus station with a bus going directly to the city. Mini market and bakery near by and also the owner was very helpful with explaining all the details as well as the lady in charge for the cleaning. .
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen equipment wasn't clean. Plates and cups were left unwashed by the previous people. There were no toiletries except toilet paper and towels ,meaning no shampoo even in the toilet sink which was really needed.

  The apartment is very big, with a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms, a big kitchen with many tools and pots and pans to use. Also the living room was comfortable enough for all of us, and the whole flat is very bright because of the many windows.
  
  What could be improved: It could have been cleaner overall: towels were stained, some of the pans were dirty. Also, one of the showers was leaking.
  Another ambiguous thing was the collection of the keys. We didn't understand we had to necessarily notify the owner about the time when we were arriving, so when we arrived at the apartment, we had to walk another 15 minutes to collect the keys in another hotel and then come back. So there was a little misunderstanding.
