Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually makes sense once you’re inside. Appartement cosy orangerie sits in this quietly upscale corner of Strasbourg called Robertsau, and honestly, it does feel like staying in someone’s beautifully curated orangery – if orangeries came with proper heating and excellent Wi-Fi, that is. The address puts you on Allée de la Robertsau, which sounds fancy but it’s really just this tree-lined street that feels pleasantly removed from the tourist crowds downtown, yet you’re still only about fifteen minutes by tram to get to the cathedral and all that.
The apartment itself lives up to that 9.3 rating – I mean, you don’t get scores like that without doing something right. What they’ve done right is create this space that feels genuinely cozy without being cramped, with these warm orange and amber touches that somehow don’t feel overwhelming or themed in a cheesy way. The morning light comes through these big windows beautifully, and if you’re the type who actually uses hotel kitchenettes (most people aren’t, but this one’s worth it), everything you need is there and actually works properly. The bed situation is solid – not too soft, not too firm, and the linens feel expensive without being fussy. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood, so ask about that when you book, but the trade-off is you’re in this quieter residential area where you can actually sleep with the windows open in spring and summer.
Here’s the thing about staying in Robertsau – you get to feel like you’re living in Strasbourg rather than just visiting it. There’s this little bakery about a five-minute walk away where the locals actually go, and you’ll find yourself nodding at the same dog walkers every morning like you belong there. The Ill river is right there too, perfect for those early morning runs if that’s your thing, or just wandering along the water when the city center gets too touristy. The whole setup works especially well if you’re staying more than a couple nights – which honestly, Strasbourg deserves anyway. The four-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but everything that should work does work, and work well. Sometimes that matters more than marble bathrooms and doormen, you know?

Reviews
Perfect little apartment for two near Orangerie. – Tomas from Slovakia – 21 February 2025 (10/10)
An amazing, comfortable apartment with a terrace overlooking Allee de la Robertsau. The bed was especially comfortable and the apartment was furnished with everything you might need. I mean everything, including a shoehorn, tape, sowing needles, screwdrivers… Not that you need all that, but IF you do, it's there.
What could be improved: When I was there, the radiator in the bathroom did not work, but it's a building with shared heating so I guess the whole vertical heating line was out of order.Superb – Ludwig from Belgium – 19 September 2024 (9/10)
Very well equipped and close to the European Parliament and Council of Europe. Easy link to the train station.
What could be improved: A dining table would be nice.Good to be back here – Agnieszka from Poland – 9 September 2024 (10/10)
Terrace, view, well equipped kitchen, close to the parliament.
What could be improved: Nothing but be aware that it is on the 4th floor without an elevatorVery cozy apartment, perfect for a short stay in Strasbourg, fo work or leisure – Gunnhildur from Iceland – 9 December 2023 (8/10)
The location was freat for me just 4 min walk from the Palais de l’Europe, a short bus ride from centre-ville and Petit-france. The amenities were excellent and I especially liked having a balcony although the weather did not allow much dwelling on the balcony.
Superbe appartement à un prix raisonnable – Alexander from France – 27 December 2024 (9/10)
Impeccable – Khaled from France – 1 June 2024 (10/10)
Tout!
What could be improved: Voisinage un peu bruyant mais cavaProximité, logement bien équipé, grand balcon et quartier et immeuble calme. – Frank from France – 22 May 2024 (9/10)
Exceptional – Iglika from France – 18 March 2024 (10/10)
