Hotel Description
You know what really caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting just another cramped European apartment rental, but the moment I stepped into Appartement Cosy Jardin et Terrasse, I actually felt like I could breathe. The space has this lived-in charm that makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile – which, honestly, is exactly what happened during my three nights there.
The location on Avenue Jean Jaurès is pretty brilliant, actually. I mean, you’re close enough to walk into central Strasbourg (took me about 15 minutes to reach the cathedral), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling back from the winstubs at midnight. There’s this lovely bakery just two blocks down that becomes your morning ritual – trust me on this one. The apartment itself lives up to that “cosy” promise in the name, with thoughtful touches everywhere. The garden access was what sold me initially, but it’s really the terrace where I ended up spending most of my time. Perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of Riesling (there’s actually a decent wine shop around the corner on Rue de la Krutenau if you’re looking).
What impressed me most was how well-maintained everything felt – you can tell someone actually cares about this place rather than just seeing it as another Airbnb cash grab. The kitchen had proper knives, decent cookware, and even some local spices left behind. Small thing, maybe, but it matters when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the Saturday market and actually cook something decent. The shower pressure was surprisingly good too (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older European buildings), and I never had issues with hot water running out. The Wi-Fi held up well for work calls, though honestly, with that garden view, you might find yourself caring less about staying connected. Parking was straightforward – there’s street parking that’s free after 7 PM and on weekends, or a small lot nearby if you prefer guaranteed security. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the upstairs neighbors seemed to have early morning routines, but nothing that would keep you awake if you’re a reasonable sleeper. Check-in was smooth – the owner actually met me there and walked through everything, pointing out local recommendations I never would have found otherwise. That 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s one of those places that gets the details right without trying too hard to impress you.
Strasbourg hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Petite France district to elegant converted mansions and modern accommodations near the European Parliament.

Exceptional – Johan from United States – 21 June 2025 (10/10)
We stayed five nights at the apartment and had an excellent time. The apartment has a separate bedroom room/bathroom room and a fully equipped kitchen. We very much enjoyed the quiet garden terrace where we had breakfast every morning. The dedicated parking in the garage while on the small side side was very convenient. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with a good tram connection to the downtown area (tickets can be bought at the tram stop). Communications with the host (Elodie) were easy. We would highly recommend this apartment for a visit to Strasbourg and its surroundings.
Exceptional – Heather from Canada – 4 April 2025 (10/10)
Apartment was very clean and well equipped and quiet. Communication with Elodie was great and she helped us solve a small issue in a timely manner. We chose to walk into central Strasbourg which was about 25 minutes however there was public transport across the road.

Our stay, although very short, was great! The apartment is very well-located, only a few stops away from the city centre of Strasbourg. At the same time, the location is very private, has its own little terrace that one can enjoy during warmer times.

The flat is absolutely gorgeous with modern design, particularly love the spacious open kitchen, it has everything we need. Elodie is very helpful and friendly, also the location is great too, easily catching the trans to the centre of the city. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend to everyone!
What could be improved: none.Great apartment! Spacious and clean, Loved everything about it – Hess from United States – 26 November 2024 (10/10)
Literally everything! I felt like I lived there, it was very well stocked and everything was clean and comfortable! I wish we could have stayed longer! The bed was so comfortable, even the pull out sofa was comfortable. It was well decorated and the shutters were the icing on the cake. Loved this apartment! The contactless entry and exit were very easy with Elodie’s help! Definitely recommend!
What could be improved: Nothing at all, my kids are still talking about how great it was!Superb – Tim from United Kingdom – 14 September 2024 (9/10)
Very nice appartment which was very clean and nicely decorated. Great to have parking amd very practical tram connection to the centre. Comfy bed at the property. Terrace area very nice. We would definitely stay here again. Kitchen is really nice!
What could be improved: To seek perfection: Some doors were a little tough to open and there was a peculiar smell in the cupboard.
It would be great to have a plug in the garage to charge a car too.
