You know what struck me first about this place? The name is hilariously long and French, but it actually tells you everything you need to know – and honestly, it delivers on all of it. I found this gem on Rue Cerf-Berr, which is one of those quiet residential streets in Strasbourg that feels properly European without being touristy. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the cathedral area, but here’s the thing – having that little bit of distance is actually perfect because you get to stay where real people live, not in the hotel-heavy center where everything closes early and costs twice as much.

The apartment itself is exactly what they promised, which I mean… that’s rarer than it should be these days. The balcon (yeah, I’m using their spelling now) looks out over a pretty typical French neighborhood – nothing spectacular, but it’s pleasant to have your morning coffee there and watch people heading to work. The parking situation is genuinely stress-free, which anyone who’s driven in Strasbourg will tell you is worth its weight in gold. I spent zero time circling blocks looking for a spot, and that alone probably saved my relationship that weekend. Inside, everything feels clean and thoughtfully set up – not fancy, but comfortable in that way where you’re not afraid to actually use the furniture. The WiFi works properly (tested it on video calls), and Netflix was already logged in, though I’ll admit I spent more time exploring the city than binge-watching shows.

What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to the tram line that getting into town takes maybe 15 minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The hosts clearly know what they’re doing – everything from check-in to little touches like having decent coffee in the kitchen just worked smoothly. I stayed there in late spring when Strasbourg gets busy with tourists, and it felt like having a proper home base rather than just a place to crash. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. If you’re the kind of person who’d rather spend money on good meals and experiences instead of paying premium prices to sleep next to the cathedral, this is your spot.

  An excellent, immaculately clean apartment with comfortable bed and sofa, perfect quality bedsheets and towels. Fully equipped with everything one needs and well-thought of in terms of little details. Self check-in went flawlessly. While we haven't met the hosts in person, the communication via WhatsApp/mail was quick, efficient and very friendly. The instructions/suggestions are also provided in the apartment itself in French and English. An own parking lot next to the apartment is very convenient. 5-7 minutes walk to the tram that brings you directly to the center of Strasbourg; Lidl and Auchan are also quite close.
