So I stumbled across this little gem on Rue de Rosheim – honestly, the name “Appartement atypique et cosy centre-ville” doesn’t do it justice, but I guess that’s the French being modest. This place sits right in the heart of Strasbourg’s old quarter, maybe a three-minute walk from the cathedral (you know, the one with the astronomical clock that draws crowds at noon). The street itself is one of those narrow cobblestone affairs where you’ll hear your footsteps echo off the half-timbered buildings at night.

What actually surprised me was how quiet it gets once you’re inside – I mean, you’re literally in the center of everything, but the thick walls of these old Alsatian buildings really do their job. The apartment itself feels like someone’s creative uncle designed it; there’s this perfect balance between historical character and modern comfort that’s hard to pull off. You’ll find exposed beams and original details mixed with contemporary touches that actually make sense together. The space feels genuinely cozy without being cramped, which is saying something for European city center accommodations. I loved that they didn’t try to cram too much furniture into the rooms – there’s breathing space, you know?

The location is honestly unbeatable if you want to explore Strasbourg on foot. You’re within walking distance of Petite France (though it gets touristy during the day), and Place Kléber is just around the corner for shopping or people-watching. What locals might not tell you is that this area comes alive in the evenings when the day-trippers head back to their buses – suddenly you’ve got these intimate little wine bars and brasseries that feel authentic again. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but there’s a public garage nearby, and honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re settled in. The tram system here is excellent, and the European Parliament is just a quick ride away if that’s on your agenda. I’d definitely stay here again – the 9.4 rating makes perfect sense when you experience the combination of location, character, and that genuine warmth that comes from a place that’s been thoughtfully put together rather than just thrown at tourists.

  Wir haben uns spontan dazu entschieden, nach Straßburg zu fahren, und hatten das große Glück, Laetitias Apartment zu finden. Das Apartment ist nicht nur äußerst sauber, sondern auch gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Schlüsselübergabe über die Schlüsselbox verlief reibungslos.
  
  Laetitia war zudem so freundlich, uns einen Parkplatz direkt vor dem Apartment zu organisieren. Sie hat uns auch tolle Tipps gegeben, was man in Straßburg unbedingt sehen sollte, wo man lecker essen und schön einkaufen kann.

  What could be improved: il est vrai que la salle de bain est petite avec toilette à l'interieur mais nous en avions été informés et à 4 adultes, 4 enfants, c'est gérable, il suffit de s'organisser!
