Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Appartement 6 personnes Strasbourg proche centre ville & parking,” I thought it was going to be one of those cookie-cutter vacation rentals that overpromises and underdelivers. But honestly? This place on Rue Vauban actually gets it right, which is why it’s sitting pretty at 8.2 stars and four-star status.
The location is what really sold me. You’re literally a 10-minute walk from Place Kléber – and I mean a pleasant 10-minute walk, not one of those “10 minutes if you’re an Olympic sprinter” situations. Rue Vauban itself is this quiet residential street that feels authentically Strasbourg, you know? None of that touristy chaos, but you can still hear the distant hum of the city center when you open the windows in the morning. The parking situation (which, let’s face it, is usually a nightmare in European city centers) is actually sorted here, and trust me, after driving around Strasbourg’s one-way maze of streets, you’ll appreciate not having to hunt for a spot or decipher parking meter French at 9 PM.
What I really loved about this apartment is how it feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property. The space genuinely works for six people without everyone stepping on each other – the living area has this nice flow where you can cook dinner while others are hanging out, and the bedrooms are positioned so you’re not listening to every conversation through paper-thin walls. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters when you’re staying more than a couple nights and getting tired of restaurant prices. I mean, Strasbourg has incredible food, but sometimes you just want to grab groceries at the Monoprix down the street and make a simple breakfast before heading out to explore. The whole setup just works in that effortless way that makes you feel settled rather than like you’re camping out in someone else’s space.
Here’s what really impressed me though – the neighborhood vibe. You’re close enough to walk to the cathedral and all the main sights, but you’re also in this area where locals actually live and work. There’s a boulangerie two blocks over that does these incredible pretzels (this is Alsace, after all), and you’ll find yourself naturally falling into the rhythm of the neighborhood. Morning coffee runs, evening walks along the quieter streets, that sort of thing. The tram connections are solid if you want to venture further out, but honestly, most of what you’ll want to see is walkable from here. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real Strasbourg life, not just checking tourist boxes – and for a four-star place with parking included, the value is pretty hard to beat.

Reviews
Nice and clean apartment, a good place to stay in Strasbourg – Fernando from Luxembourg – 29 April 2024 (9/10)
It was a very nice apartment. It has 2 bathrooms with shower and sink and one separate WC. It has 1 separate bedroom with a double bed and another double bed in the living room (but a bit separate, which does not require moving it for doing day life). The owners have perfectly organised the procedure to enter and exit the place. They are also reactive via the Booking app.
What could be improved: I cannot really complain about anything in particular. It was around 25 minutes walking from the cathedral.Superb – Joanna from Poland – 4 July 2023 (9/10)
The amount of space, location, kitchen utilities , beds
highly recommended – Arwa from Ireland – 28 May 2023 (9/10)
very nice place and clean. great location with tram station nearby
What could be improved: no Wi-FiNice place to stay. – Chanh-tri from France – 16 December 2023 (8/10)
The host gaves all details on how to access to the flat, where to park the car, …
The flat is clean, quiet large, close to tram stop.
What could be improved: Beds are comfortable but the canape-lit is not good as sleeping place.Good location – Alexandra from Germany – 27 July 2024 (8/10)
Parking lot was very useful and apartment is comfortable
What could be improved: Apartment is next to kindergarden so it is extremely noisy for most of the day. Check-in and check-out times are rather restricted which can be inconvenient if you are only there for 2 nightsGood – Marco from Germany – 28 July 2023 (7/10)
The problem we had with the missing bed sheets was fixed before we went to sleep.
The apartment is very spacious with a nice balcony, and a bright living room where eat, play or just enjoy your time.
The presence of 3 rooms for 1 toilette and 2 shower rooms was very convenient.
The wifi was high speed and we did not have any problem regarding it.
The location is quite good, it is very close to a tram stop (very convenient to go anywhere in the city) and also it is manageable to just walk to the city centre.
The coffee machine was just perfect to start the day.
What could be improved: We asked the owner whether it was possible to check in before 16:00 and the answer has been no.
We arrived a few hours before the check in time, and waited until a bit before 16:00 without receiving any message with the code to get the keys.
When we called the owner they told us that the apartment was already ready since a lot of time.
Afterwards, we entered the apartment and only 2 beds where ready, instead of 2 plus the sofa bed, we tried to prepare it ourselves but bedsheets and blankets where missing.
Additionally, the sofa bed was not comfortable at all to sleep on. If the apartment is bookable for 6 people all 6 people should have a comfortable place where to sleep. (I suggest to have a small mattress to put on top of the open sofa bed, that would improve it)
At 8:30am of the last day we were woken up by loud sound and heavy smell of burned rubber coming from outside: there were some people doing renovation in the yard of the building. They stopped around 9:30 (the check-out was at 10:00). I am not sure if the owner could have asked to postpone the renovation successfully, but we should have been at least notified, in order to close the windows to avoid loud sound and bad smell.
The hot water in the shower happened to finish while showering, luckily the day was not cold, so it has not been unbearable.
The apartment seemed to be clean enough, the blanket and the sofa bed seemed a bit dusty.
The cutlery, glasses and plates needed to be rinsed or washed before being used. I saw a silverfish, but no other insects insider the apartment.Exceptional – Mustafa from Saudi Arabia – 5 January 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: The check in check out not fair check in time 5pm and the check out 10 am the difference between check in and check out 7 hours why !!! this is not good & not fair
Disappointing – Murat from Netherlands – 18 October 2023 (4/10)
Nothing!
What could be improved: It was mentioned there are 2 bedrooms! However one bedroom is the common area! It was hard to manage common area with bed!
Also, we have requested to park our cars 2 hours before check-in. However they ignored it until home is ready since the key of parking place is given with the key of home! But, They just could open parking area to us and we could park! The policy is checkout from 10 AM and checkin is from 4PM! I think they could help us to park like 2 PM since parking spots should be free at that time.Bon séjour – Luc from France – 9 June 2025 (9/10)
Logement très pratique et confortable
What could be improved: Peu de flexibilité sur les horairesVery good – Corentin from France – 3 June 2025 (8/10)
Emplacement top, Appartement très bien
What could be improved: La cuisine était pas très très propre mais correcte
