Hotel Description
You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first saw the name of this place – it’s basically a paragraph-long address that screams “trying too hard.” But once I actually got to Rue du Feu (which, fun fact, means “Fire Street” and yes, there’s a story there involving medieval Strasbourg), I totally got why they crammed every landmark into the title. This little apartment-style spot really is smack in the middle of everything that matters.
The building itself has that classic Alsatian charm – you’re literally a three-minute walk from the cathedral’s mind-blowing facade, and I mean literally three minutes because I timed it while dodging tourists with their phones out. The studios and apartments are pretty straightforward, nothing fancy but clean and functional in that European way where everything serves a purpose. What I really appreciated was having a kitchenette – honestly, after a few days of tarte flambée and choucroute (which, don’t get me wrong, are amazing), sometimes you just want to grab some cheese from the Galeries Lafayette food hall and make yourself a simple meal. The Wi-Fi actually works, which feels worth mentioning after some of my other Strasbourg experiences.
Here’s what the booking sites won’t tell you: the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights since you’re in the heart of the old town, but it’s more “happy locals heading home from wine bars” than “chaos.” Also, parking is basically impossible right there – I ended up using the Gutenberg parking garage about a five-minute walk away, which honestly wasn’t bad. The real magic happens when you step outside and realize you can wander to Petite France for those postcard canal views, then swing by the Kammerzell House for dinner, all without ever needing directions or transport. I found myself just… exploring, you know? Taking random turns down cobblestone alleys and stumbling onto little courtyards. That 8.3 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but for the price and location, it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need: a comfortable base in the most walkable part of one of France’s most beautiful cities.
Visitors often choose Strasbourg apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent European capital.

Superb – Todd from United States – 5 May 2025 (9/10)
Very clean with nice ammenities.
Good – Greta from Italy – 12 February 2025 (7/10)
The apartment was very clean and perfect for a short stay. The bed was super comfortable. Also the WiFi connection was fast and I appreciated they also offer Netflix.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, the radiator doesn’t work well. It turns on but it’s very weak so it’s not able to heat the apartment resulting cold. The little heater they provide, tho, works perfectly. I just wished I had known this before in order to not disturb the owner.A very comfortable and clean studio close to everything. – Kristena from Australia – 12 October 2024 (8/10)
Marinela, the host is lovely and the studio is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. It’s very close to the old town, French quarter and transport.
The host was wonderful and very helpful. Also checked us in before time. – Razia from Hong Kong – 19 July 2024 (8/10)
The location. It had all the amenities one could want to live comfortably.
What could be improved: The room was too small and could get hot and stuffy without the AC in hot weather.Great, central location, clean and comfortable. – Kathleen from Australia – 18 April 2024 (9/10)
Location superb, close to public transport and centre. Hostess delightful, friendly, and met us there to explain everything. Good balcony and excellent shower. And a lift!
What could be improved: I guess one could say the room was a little on the small side, (but the bed was very comfortable and the shower was convenient).Good little studio that has everything you might need. Very kind owners. – Maybritt from Netherlands – 9 February 2024 (7/10)
I’ve stayed at many different places in Strasbourg and this one has the best shower head and water pressure. The owners are very kind and flexible with check-in.
What could be improved: My back didn’t like the mattress. Quite a lot of noises at night from neighbours and the radiator piping system (banging sounds).Very good overall. Only needs a minifridge. Owner – Marinella very responsive and kind – Andrea from Canada – 20 September 2023 (9/10)
