You know what? When I first walked up to this place on Rue Gustave Doré, I actually did a double-take at the address. I mean, you’re literally steps from both the hyper-center (as the French love to say) and Petite France – honestly, I didn’t think locations this perfect existed without costing a fortune. The whole apartment thing threw me at first because you’re getting an entire place to yourself, not just some hotel room, and it’s tucked into this gorgeous old Strasbourg building that feels authentically Alsatian without being touristy about it.

What really got me was how the location works in practice. You walk out the door and you’re maybe three minutes from the cathedral – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but you’re also close enough to Petite France that you can wander over there for sunset photos without planning your whole day around it. The apartment itself has this lived-in quality that I actually prefer to those sterile hotel setups. Sure, it’s not going to win any interior design awards, but everything works, the Wi-Fi is solid (tested it on multiple video calls), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff. The kitchen’s functional too, which matters more than you’d think when you want morning coffee without hunting down a café that’s open early.

Here’s the thing though – and this is important – Strasbourg can get pretty lively, especially during the Christmas markets or when there’s something happening at the European Parliament. This spot manages to feel central without being right in the chaos. I slept fine most nights, though you’ll hear some street noise if you’re the type who needs total silence. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me because it delivers on the basics really well without any major surprises, good or bad. Check-in was straightforward (they send you clear instructions), and honestly, having a whole apartment in this part of Strasbourg for what you’d pay elsewhere just for a decent hotel room feels like getting away with something. If you’re the kind of traveler who wants to feel like you’re actually staying in the city rather than just visiting it, this works perfectly.

  It’s a cozy studio apartment, fully equipped with a bathroom, comfortable bed with a firm mattress, sofa to relax after a day of work or sightseeing, and kitchenette and table to eat breakfast.
  
  The friendly host helped me familiarise with the neighbourhood where I could buy groceries and nearby restaurants. One of them is just below the apartment, brasserie Wow. Perhaps the food is not wow, but it is very tasty.
  
  What could be improved: Keep in mind there is no lift, so you need to be able to walk up three floors.

  Aditional when you book, you have to wait until somebody go to open, in our case 45 minutes, but at the check out 1 minute after the hour they are opening the door

  What could be improved: Très chaud, un ventilateur au minimum aurait aidé et très bruyant. Le lit un peu dur pour nos goûts. Il faudrait aussi préciser qu’il faut monter 3 étages dans un petit escalier en rond, pas d’ascenseur.

  L appartement est pratique et sympathique, bien équipé et assez central.

  La localisation est bruyante à cause du tram que l on entend pratiquement toute la nuit .
  Trop de lumière dans l appartement.
  J ai essayé de fermer les volets, mais ils n ont pas du être activé depuis longtemps.
  Tout cela compte beaucoup quand on vient pour affaires et que l on ne dort pas !
  L immeuble est par ailleurs assez bizarre .
  A peine arrivé, une sdf me demande de lui ouvrir la porte d entrée…je raccroche.
  A 22h45, je rentre et les caves semblent sqattees. Cela peut effrayer des personnes sensibles.
  Je vais mettre une note pour l appartement qui est assez agréable et à mi chemin de la gare et de la cathédrale.

  Kleine Wohnung, schön renoviert, sehr sauber, gemütlich, ruhig in der Top-Lage der Stadt (petite France). Hat alles, was man braucht, wenn es um eine kurze Reise und Besuch der Stadt zu 2 geht.

  Emplacement parfait en plein centre ville. Joli studio dans un immeuble ancien au 3eme étage et sécurisé. ..Très très propre et coocooning .Bonne literie Il ne manque rien a part peut-être un micro onde et un balai.. Par contre pas pratique pour se garer. Parking cher et assez cher. Mais bon séjour.
