You know what struck me first about this little studio on Rue du Chanoine Straub? The fact that you actually get your own parking spot – and I mean, if you’ve ever tried to park in Strasbourg’s old quarters, you’ll understand why that alone is worth its weight in gold. The street itself is pretty quiet, tucked away from the main tourist chaos but still close enough that you’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the cathedral area.

The studio lives up to its “adorable” billing, honestly. It’s compact but thoughtfully laid out – someone clearly put effort into making every square meter count. The decor has that cozy European apartment vibe without being too precious about it, if that makes sense. What I really appreciated was how functional everything felt; the kitchenette actually has proper counter space (rare in these converted spaces), and there’s enough storage that you’re not living out of your suitcase the whole time. The bathroom’s small but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showerheads that makes you forget you’re in a studio apartment. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly fine, which – let’s be real – is sometimes a gamble with these smaller places.

Location-wise, you’re in a sweet spot that feels authentically Strasbourgeois without being overrun by tour groups. There’s a decent boulangerie just down the street where locals actually go (always a good sign), and you can catch the tram pretty easily if you want to venture further out. The 7.7 rating seems about right – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises. I did notice some street noise in the early morning when the garbage trucks make their rounds, but honestly, that’s just city life. The host was responsive when I had questions about check-in, and the whole process was refreshingly straightforward. For the price point and that precious parking spot, it’s a solid choice if you want a genuine neighborhood feel rather than the sterile hotel experience. Just don’t expect tons of space to spread out – but really, when Strasbourg’s beautiful streets are right outside your door, why would you want to stay inside anyway?

  What could be improved: Leider kann ich Menschen, die mit ihren E-Bikes oder normalen, aber teuren Fahrrädern in der Stadt reisen, nicht empfehlen, da es so viele Diebe gibt, dass ich und meine Freundin Zeugen von jemandem waren, der am helllichten Tag ein E-Bike vom Fahrrad Parkplatz mit einem Cutter gestohlen hat.
