Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “90m2 hyper centre Sauna,” I thought it was some kind of translation mishap. But walking into this place on Rue de la Première-Armée, I actually got it. This isn’t your typical hotel room; it’s more like having your own spacious apartment right in the thick of everything, complete with what turned out to be an absolutely fantastic sauna.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to actually experience Strasbourg rather than just pass through it. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Place Kléber – you know, where all the trams converge and there’s always something happening. I mean, you can roll out of bed and grab coffee at one of those little places on Rue des Grandes Arcades before the tour groups even wake up. The cathedral’s bell tower is close enough that you’ll hear the bells (which I actually loved, though fair warning if you’re a super light sleeper). What really surprised me was how quiet the apartment stays despite being so central – something about the way these old Strasbourg buildings are constructed, I guess.

The sauna situation is honestly what sets this place apart. After spending days wandering around the Petite France cobblestones or getting caught in one of those sudden Alsatian downpours, having your own private sauna feels almost ridiculously luxurious. It’s not some tiny afterthought either – they clearly put thought into making it a real amenity. The whole space feels thoughtfully designed, actually. You’ve got proper room to spread out (that 90 square meters isn’t marketing fluff), good natural light, and the kind of kitchen setup where you can actually cook if you want to hit the morning markets near the cathedral. Parking can be a bit of a dance around here – there’s street parking but it fills up fast, especially during Christmas market season. I’d recommend the Austerlitz parking garage about five minutes away; locals seem to know it’s usually got spots. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that hovering-around-the-lobby-at-3pm nonsense. With a 9.4 rating, you’d think maybe it’s too good to be true, but honestly? It delivers. This is the kind of place where you end up staying in for evening wine instead of rushing out to tourist restaurants, partly because it’s so comfortable and partly because you feel like you’re actually living in Strasbourg for a few days rather than just visiting it.

  Everything! The property is clean and comfortable and perfectly located conveniently near the main sights of the city. The owner or property manager has excellent communication, providing prompt and friendly responses if guests have questions. The apartment was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Alsatian sparkling wine welcome gift was a please surprise. The sauna was great too!
