The name sounds like some sort of code, but once you’re inside this renovated apartment on Rue la Fayette, it actually makes perfect sense – it’s apartment 303, and yeah, they weren’t kidding about the “green” part. The whole place has this fresh, eco-conscious vibe that feels deliberately thoughtful without being preachy about it.

I mean, Strasbourg’s got plenty of cookie-cutter hotels, but this spot sits in a really solid neighborhood that most tourists completely miss. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from the cathedral (and trust me, you’ll want to walk it – parking around Grande Île is honestly a nightmare), but Rue la Fayette itself is wonderfully quiet. The apartment’s been completely redone, and you can tell someone actually thought about how people live, not just how hotels usually function. The kitchen isn’t just for show – it’s got proper counter space and decent appliances, which matters if you’re planning to grab fresh stuff from the morning market at Place du Marché aux Poissons. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a local friend’s place than staying in some sterile hotel room.

What I really appreciated was how the renovation kept some character while making everything actually work well. The floors don’t creak (you’d be surprised how rare that is in Strasbourg’s older buildings), the shower has proper pressure, and the windows – well, they actually keep the street noise out, which is clutch since the tram line isn’t too far away. The “green” aspect isn’t just marketing speak either; they’ve got energy-efficient everything and this nice natural light that makes the space feel bigger than it probably is. Honestly, the 7.4 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s solid and comfortable, and the location really grows on you. You’re close enough to walk to Petite France when the mood strikes, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep. If you’re the type who likes having your own space to spread out and maybe cook a proper meal instead of eating out every night, this works really well.

  What could be improved: Ce sont plutôt des axes d’amélioration que j’ai à partager :
  • Avant de quitter les lieux, il convient de vider les poubelles. Je présume que des bacs collectifs sont présents dans l’immeuble mais, n’ayant pas eu/trouvé l’information, j’ai ramené mes poubelles avec moi. Heureusement, j’étais en voiture et non en train.
  • Les lumières de la cuisine et du salon sont très efficaces. Un petit luminaire d’appoint serait le bienvenu surtout pour le soir.

  What could be improved: Området är fult och oinbjudande. Det saknas vissa saker i köket som mikro, ugn, salt, the och en del redskap (t.ex. ingen brödkniv). Det sämsta är att väggarna är så tunna att man kan störas under natten.
